What possessed Jen to kiss Travis? She didn't know. To her, it just felt right and to her surprise, Travis was a great kisser. It was five in the afternoon, Jen and Travis were in her living room, watching TV and engaging in small talk. Jen got up and went into the kitchen. "Hey Travie, you wanna snack on something?" Jen asked. "Sure!" Travis responded. With that, Jen took out a jar of peanut butter from the fridge and two spoons. She noticed a small sticky note on the fridge door, it there since this morning. "Dear Jenifer, your mother and I will be taking a two week vacation to the Bahamas. Help yourself to whatever is in the fridge and please don't shave the cat." Jen read. She sighed and crumpled up the note. She hates it when her stepdad calls her by her full name and she hates it even more when her parents randomly goes to some far away place and leaves her at home. "Guess this means I can have some privacy," Jen whispered to herself. "Jen...you okay?" Travis asked from the other room. "Yeah..I'm fine," Jen responded. She took the jar and spoons and returned to the living room. Mordecai has had a rough day. From sabotaging his own reputation at school, humiliating Jen, getting detention and getting grounded by his "parents", the poor guy needed a break. Before he went home, he stopped by a nearby bakery to buy a cheesecake and at a pharmacy, where he bought an apology card. He flew to Jen's house, unaware that she was cuddling and sharing a jar of peanut butter with the one guy he couldn't trust. He landed on Jen's porch and proceeded to knock on the front door. Jen looked out of a window to see who it was. Upon seeing that it was Mordecai, she quickly ran to Travis. "Come on," she whispered. She grabbed his wrist and hid him in a nearby closet. "What's going on?" Travis asked. "Shh," Jen said with one of her index fingers over her closed lips. Travis was just about to protest when Jen clasped her hand over his mouth. "Just stay in here for a while," Jen said, closing the closet door. She opened the front door where she saw Mordecai. "Jen, listen, I'm so sorry about what happened today, I thought you were in danger...." Mordecai continue to stutter and ramble on before getting cut off by Jen who put her hand over his mouth. "Don't worry Mordecai, I'm alright now. I errr just needed a nap.Oh, is that cheesecake for me? Thanks, anyways I'm kinda busy, talk to you later bye!" With that, Jen took the cheesecake and closed the door before Mordecai could even utter a word.
