Hello! Author here with some quick notes: I'm probably going to be putting random videos in that you don't have to listen to or even pay attention to, but I'm putting them in there because I can. It'll mostly be music that I enjoy (so prepare for a lot of Avril Lavigne, Halsey, Marina and the Diamonds, etc. for no reason... I just realized that my music interests basically mirror Tumblr...) and I feel like fit the scenario. It's nothing important, but if you can please listen because I really do enjoy the songs and feel like they fit what's going on in the story.(Also, yes, I am a male. Yes, I know I have a weird taste in music, but I can't help it. The music they make is really good.) If I can't find something, I'll probably just link what I was listening to when I was writing.

With that out of the way, keep reading and I hope you enjoy this next chapter. I've been bouncing ideas off of walls today while I was home, and I think I've finally decided on what to do with this chapter.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up in an unknown place that seemed to look like a hallway. There were two figures further into the hallway, so I walked towards them. Right when I saw them in more details I wish that I hadn't walked towards them at all. One shadow, now visible, looked a lot like me, wearing the same outfit I came down here in. The only difference is that instead of having (e/c) eyes like me, their eyes were red. They were also holding a knife in a way like they were about to use it.

On the other side was a very familiar skeleton, but you noticed something off about him. His eyes and his hands were glowing a very bright blue, and he seemed to be very determined and frustrated, most likely because of past events that I wasn't shown.

"Sans please! Just listen to me, and run! I'm not in control, and I don't want you to get hurt!" I heard a voice similar to my own coming from the figure that looked like me. I guess that the skeleton's name is Sans..."That's all you have to say after you murdered everyone? Is that all you can say for yourself after you took the life of my brother and so many others?"

I was so confused... I wouldn't harm anyone no matter what, even if they tried to kill me or hurt me in any way. What was this place? It didn't seem familiar to me at all, and I don't recognize anything like this happening, especially since I didn't even know Sans before I fell down...

Is this an alternate universe? Is this a completely flipped reality, a different timeline? ... I don't think I want to know the answer now that I think about that.

"Sans, please! I'm telling you the truth, and if you don't believe me, then go ahead and..." For some reason, parallel universe me stopped talking. They looked down as they said something very softly... "just go ahead and kill me."

The knife fell out of their hands as they dropped to the ground and started...crying? I couldn't tell, because what was falling wasn't a normal color... like their tears were (F/C) instead. The last thing I saw was a light blue aura surrounding them as Sans raised his arm and eventually his hand. I screamed, telling Sans to stop, and to spare their life, but my words were useless. Sans whipped his hand down, and as fast as they rose up into the air, they plummeted into the ground.

Everything went black immediately afterwards.

I woke up with a shock, still on the couch in the downstairs area with the blanket covering me. How long was I out? I looked around the room, which was darker than it was before, until I saw a blue light in front of me on the other side of the couch. "You okay? I heard you screaming in your sleep, like something was troubling you. I'm surprised you didn't wake Paps up."

I looked at Sans carefully, before I put my head down and started crying. "I'm so sorry, Sans. I'm sorry for everything..." That's all I could manage to say. If what I saw was real, and I really did murder all of those innocent people...

No, it can't be real. Even if it was, Sans can't possibly remember it, since I'm still here and he's not mad at me. In fact, he's being really hospitable towards me, and hasn't really shown any signs of wanting to attack me.

"Stop crying, (Y/N). It's not your fault that any of that happened." You look up at him, surprised. He... he remembers everything you did. He remembers you killed all of those close to him, all of those he cared about, and he remembers that you killed his brother. "You couldn't control your actions, and you didn't have a choice."

"Yeah, but I still feel horrible and terrible... Also, why don't you hate me? Shouldn't you be trying to kill me before I get to kill everyone?"

He just looked at me for a couple of seconds before responding. "Yes, I probably should, but I don't know if you're going to go on a murder spree. Look, I know this is hard to understand, but there are multiple timelines that involve everyone down here. You fall down into Snowdin, I help you, and what you do from there on is just random. I remember all of these timelines, and all the ways that you've acted towards me and towards everyone else. But, every single time, everything resets and I'm forced to have to relive through it over and over again, and you're the cause of them. You can control them, and have the power to restart everything."

I can't help but feel guilty, even if I didn't know about this before. I'm the one that has caused Sans so much stress, and have troubled his life. I'm the reason why he has to see his friends murdered by me, and then have to befriend me again over and over, trying to convince me to take the right path.

"Just, don't worry about it, okay? I don't want you to feel guilty over something that you've done and don't remember from the past. I shouldn't have told you anything about it..." Sans says in a very guilty tone, like he did something wrong, when it's you that should feel this way.

"No, I'm glad you told me about it. I promise, Sans, that this time I'll spare everyone, and make sure that time doesn't reset ever again. I won't let you live through the same thing over and over again anymore." I can't hurt him anymore than I already have. I won't hurt him. I couldn't live with myself knowing that.

"Thanks, (Y/N). Now, go back to sleep, and I'll introduce you to Paps tomorrow." But, he doesn't head back up into his room. He stays with me on the couch to make sure that I fall asleep, and if I become restless because of another nightmare, that he'll be there to comfort I.

Wow, I think that was the most fun chapter I've written so far. Sorry if it was a bit wordy and long-winded. I just wanted to get everything out now.

Also, sorry about the constant updates. I'm really enjoying writing this story, and knowing that there are people that are reading it really surprises me since I don't think I'm even that good of an author in all honesty.

I'm probably going to keep writing for tonight since I don't plan on sleeping for a while anyway.
