While Elsie is alone in her and Carlos's room she hums to herself a song her dad had taught her when she was just a bitty baby girl: be a brave girl, have a big heart; hide it, keep it under control; be a brave girl, show your strong face, turn your cheek; don't go to your personal boiling point, just breathe, just breathe. She soon calms herself down and goes back downstairs and right into Carlos's wide open and awaiting arms. He's just glad that she's finally calm. He knows when she gets riled up, she can cause damage. He's relieved now that she's calm; damage avoided. He holds her tight to himself and tells her not to worry and that she will carry that baby through to the end no matter what it takes. They're both determined to have this child. That's for sure.
