Four months after being married, Elsie becomes pregnant with what is going to hopefully be their first child. She's excited and nervous. She hopes her flaming, burning, fiery body is suitable and fit to carry a child. She's more fearful than anything else and Carlos can see that in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Inquires Carlos. "Aren't you excited to finally be having a child?"
"Of coarse," she replies with a few tears in her eyes, "it's just...what if she burns up in there. My body's not like a normal woman's after all. What if I'm not suitable to have children?" She's in full tears now. Carlos does his best to comfort his wife. Even in the back of his mind, he knows she is right: she should be a bit fearful and concerned. Her body isn't what any of his family would call fit for child labor and childbirth.
