I let out a heavy sigh and placed my hands on my hips, tilting my head slightly to the side as I stared into the closet. None of the clothes in there seemed appealing to wear and I usually didn't find it hard to know what to put on. You'd think being a stylist would give me some sort of advantage but oh no.

"You okay in there baby?" A muffled voice on the other side of the door said.

I let out a groan and threw myself back across the bed, which was my boyfriend's sign that it was time to come inside. He opened up the door and looked at me laying sprawled out on the bed.

He chuckled. "I take that as a no." He joked, but I wasn't in the mood for jokes. I just rolled my eyes at him and covered my face with my hands.

The room went silent, I heard some shuffling, before the mattress dipped down next to me. I looked up to see my lover sitting next to me. I sighed.

"What's wrong, Gabrielle?" He asked me, adding the Spanish touch to the name that he knew that I loved and ran his hand through my still slightly wet shower hair.

"I don't know what to wear." I said and looked towards the closet again before looking up into two beautiful blue eyes.

"It's not a special event." He reminded me and I sat up a little.

"But I still want to look nice!" I said, bumping my fist against his chest. First now I realized what he was wearing.

A white button up shirt, a black blazer on top of it and a pair of black fitting trousers. I looked him up and down with amazement in my eyes.

"Wow, I haven't seen you this dressed up in ages." I teased him and he smirked at me.

"I know. Enjoy it while it lasts." He told me, before standing up and pulling me with him. "Come on. You look gorgeous in anything. You could throw on some sweats and still look beautiful."

I rolled my eyes again, but couldn't help but smile. He never failed to bring that out. "Yeah, that's what you think." I muttered and looked down.

"Hey," he placed his finger on my chin and tilted my head back up to meet his gaze. "You'll look amazing."

I smiled widely now and pressed my lips against his in a small kiss. "Thank you, Raúl." I said as I pulled back.

He smiled. "I'll wait for you downstairs." He said and gave my hand a squeeze, before letting go and disappearing out of the room. The smile never left my lips, and suddenly I had some inspiration for what to wear.

I threw on a pair of tight black jeans together with a white shirt that had some text printed in French on the front. I walked into the bathroom that was connected to our bedroom to dry my hair and curl it and then do my makeup.

When I was done, I walked back out and checked the closet again. I found my black hat that I fell in love with a few years back, and decided it would be good to top of my outfit with. I hadn't used it in a while, so after wiping some dust off, I placed it nicely on my head.

I grabbed my purse and my leather jacket before heading down the stairs. Raúl was seated in the kitchen, playing some game on his phone when I walked in. When he heard me approaching, he immediately looked up.

He smiled widely. "You look gorgeous." He said and I nodded.

"Don't I?" I joked and he chuckled.

"You always do." He said and got up from his seat to walk over and wrap his arm around my waist. He pulled me close to his chest. "I love you."

I smiled and leaned my head against his. "I love you more." I said, kissing him again. He kissed me back with passion and I had to pull back after a moment.

"Don't start anything. We wouldn't want to be late." I winked and grabbed ahold of his hand.

He grinned. "Oh, I can be fast." He teased and I blushed.

"Shut up, Raúl." I said and pulled him with me towards the front door.

We arrived just in time at the club Raúl had asked me to come with him to. Apparently there was a band playing here tonight that he liked and wanted me to come with him to see. Since we hadn't gone out just the two of us in a while, I gladly accepted the offer. I read the sign outside of the entrance that stated the band's name.

"Panic at The Disco?" I said with a questioning tone and looked over at my boyfriend.

He shrugged, "Yeah, they're an alternative rock-band." He explained. "And it's actually Panic! At The Disco." He corrected me and I grinned.

"I love it when the fanboy in you comes out. But I've never heard you listen to rock." I said and giggled a little. "I don't mind though."

He smiled. "Well, I heard a few of their songs and they're not so bad. And since they're in town, why not?"

I nodded with a smile and intertwined our fingers as we walked into the club. It was surprisingly many people here in such a small club. Me and Raúl made our way towards the bar and managed to find two seats. I ordered a strawberry margarita while Raúl settled for a glass of whiskey.

As we waited for our drinks, I glanced around the club. There was a lot of younger teenagers here, but a lot of older adults too. The band was going on in just a few minutes and I was rather excited to see who they were. I'd never heard of them before.

I felt a light peck on my shoulder and turned my head to see Raúl's blue eyes gazing up at me, as he pressed one last kiss to my shoulder. I smiled and wrapped my arm around his shoulder, hugging him closely.

"You okay?" He whispered into my ear and wrapped an arm around my waist.

"Yeah. Why?" I asked and looked at him.

"You seem a little distant, that's all." He said and added a small smile.

"I'm okay." I promised him and let go of him to grab my drink that had arrived.

Just as I did, the lights faded into darkness and people began chanting and screaming loudly. Guess it was time for the band. Raúl looked towards the stage with excited eyes before turning to me, his eyes begging me to follow him closer towards the stage.

I laughed and shook my head as I slid off the bar stool and grabbed his hand. My boyfriend took the lead and pulled me to the crowd. We found a small, rather empty area by the side of the stage, were we had good sight over the whole room. I sipped my drink and looked towards the stage.

I saw the drummer come out with a pair of drumsticks in his hand, before sitting down behind the drums. Next came the guitarist, followed by the bassist and the lead singer. There was something about the bassist, but I couldn't say what it was- it was still too dark.

"Are you ready to party?!" The lead singer's voice came through in the speakers and everyone whistled and cheered, including Raúl. I giggled at him again.

"This first song is called Miss Jackson!" The singer announced again, and suddenly the lights lit up the stage. They blinded me for a moment, but I could soon see clear again.

I looked towards the bassist again. Tall man with messy but still neatly styled hair, well-dressed and... Oh my god.

It was like getting hit in the stomach, when all the air just goes out of your body. When it feels like you can't breathe, when you feel completely empty. Except that after a while, you recover from that. I didn't recover from this.

All the memories, all the flashbacks, everything that hurt that I'd tried to repress came back over me like a flooding wave. And I was drowning.

The music, the beat and the singer's beautiful voice, all of it melted together until I couldn't hear anything at all. I tripped to the side, and the last thing I could make out was glass crashing against the floor. I faced the floor, trying to regain balance, but failing miserably as I only saw the floor coming closer and closer to my face.

Right before I hit the ground, someone caught me, stopping my fall and desperately trying to pull me up. The last thing I saw was flashing lights, before everything went black.
