"Yeah, I'm not wearing that." Barbara motioned to the black, blue and yellow spandex suit Bryce was holding up. "Shouldn't we have, like, armor or something?" She started pulling up blueprints on the batcomputer. "See, I was thinking we could go with some titanium weave plates, although that would leave us more vulnerable to bullets, and we could get some cool features inside our masks. Maybe we can get Lucius to look at the designs." She started motioning to different parts of the design.
"How old are you again?" Bruce asked.
"Thirteen." Barbara said bluntly.
"I'm done." He sighed, throwing his hands in the air and walking up the stairs.
"So, those designs are pretty good." Dick walked towards her and leaned over Barbara's shoulder.
"Yeah? I was working on them last night while you and Bruce were doing your Dynamic Duo stuff."
"Well soon it'll be the 'Traught Trio'." Dick laughed, and Barbara pinched the bridge of her nose.
"I swear, I'll never understand your word thing."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Barbara spun around on the batcomputer's chair, fiddling with a pen, bored out of her mind. Lucius agreed to look over the armor designs, so now she was stuck doing nothing.
"Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play. And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate. And baby I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake. I shake it off. I shake it off." She sung to herself, kicking her legs up on the keyboard.
"Why are you singing Taylor Swift?" Dick asked, as Barbara gazed at his mask's camera.
"Because unlike some people, I'm stuck behind a computer for two more months. And I have nothing to dooooo." She whined.
"Batgirl, we've been over this. You have to finish training." Bruce reminded her.
"Pfft. Anything you can do, I can do backwards." Barbara signed. "And in heels." She added as an afterthought.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Batman? Robin?" Barbara yelled. "Robin! Respond!" Before both hero's cameras and comms were replaced with static, a black and white mask had filled the camera.
"Alfred! Take over comms!" She yelled. jumping from the chair.
"Miss Gor-"
"They're in trouble, Alf! Bane, I think." She searched for something she could use as a mask.
"Mr Fox sent over a package earlier. Perhaps you'd like to check that." Alfred said. "It's in the change room." Barbara ran into a smaller cave, and paused for a moment at the sight of of her uniform. Then logic takes over and she quickly begins unzipping the front, and buckling her belt.

"What do you think, Alfie?" She asked, striking a heroic pose.
"How do I say this..." The butler pondered. "Those villains messed with the wrong city."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Jeeves, I'm approaching where their SOS signal was sent from. Can you detect anyone inside?" Barbara asked, speeding down a street on a borrowed black motorcycle. She would've added some yellow and blue touches, but she had something more important to do.
"Several guards, a large figure, who I presume is Bane. And two people I suspect are Batman and Robin, unconscious."
"Thanks. Maintain radio silence until I contact you." Barbara ordered, parking her motorcycle in an alleyway.
She scaled the brick wall of the abandoned Pub, and prayed there would be a skylight on the roof. Jackpot. She thought, moving towards the glass. Okay, apparently this laser can cut a diamond. Let's see if it's just marketing. Barbara was trying to be optimistic that Dick would be okay. Bruce too.
She attached a small adhesive machine to the glass, and it cut a perfect hole, just large enough for her to jump through. Time for that fear takedown Bruce taught me.
Barbara used her cape to steady her fall, and landed on the head of a thug.
"Sorry, gotta work on my landing." She mock apologized. Barbara pressed a button on her wrist, activating taser knuckles. Remind me to give Lucius a hug next time I see him. She hit a goon, and the electricity instantly knocked him out. This is fun! Barbara continued attacking the thugs. There were more than she thought, but they were barely trained. It was Bane, gazing down at her from a balcony, who she was worried about. That, and the two costumed crusaders tied to the roof by their waists. Barbara only noticed when a large drop of Dick's blood landed on her cheek.
"I'm shocked at how bad you are." She teased, taking down the last of the goons.

"What is it this time? A Bat-Girl?" Bane chuckled, attaching his venom tubes to his back.
"Would've preferred BatWoman, but apparently that's already taken." She confessed, swing on the iron bar, slamming her weight into Bane's face, but he grabbed her feet and there her against a wall. "Okay." She growled. "Now I'm pissed."
Barbara ran at Bane at top speed, before launching herself at him, kicking him over, although he regained his stature moments later. She was trying not to look at Dick's body. He's okay. He's okay. She told herself.
Bane pulled out a knife, and dragged it across Barbara's stomach.
"Argh!" She screamed. Keep going. Worry about the cut later. Just get Dick and Bruce out. And wasn't this armor supposed to be virtually impenetrable? "Okay, tough guy. Let's see if all the hype is true about you." She growled, ignoring the white hot pain in her stomach. Or at least, trying to.
"You have spirit, child. I'll give you that." Bane dodged her fist. "But you are inexperienced. Untrained." At that moment, Barbara threw two batarangs, puncturing Bane's venom tubes. In his weakened state, she seized the opportunity to stun him.
"Untrained, huh?" She muttered, moving towards Dick and Bruce.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Barbara pulled in the bodies and untied them, although the pair still didn't move.
"Hey Jeeves, any idea how I could wake them up?" She asked into comms.
"Ah, Batgirl, you've connected again." Alfred said. "Try setting your stunners to the lowest setting. It may wake them." Barbara did just that, and sure enough, Dick and Bruce's eyes fluttered open (well, eye, for Dick. One was swollen shut.) and coughed a little.

"What...what happened?" Bruce groaned.
"Bane." Barbara replied, rubbing disinfectant over their visible wounds.
"Eh? Wait a second...Batgirl?" Dick asked. "Why are you-oh my god, your stomach."
"It's fine." Barbara lied.
"Batgirl, your hand is soaked with blood. It looks like if you take your hand away, your stomach will fall out." Bruce observed.
"Gee, thanks for the nightmare." She muttered.
"We need to get you to a hospital." Dick agreed, starting to stand up, but his knees gave way under him. "This may be harder than I thought."
"Batman, give me your belt." Barbara ordered.
"What?"
"Just do it." She groaned, and began hacking his GPS. It took a little longer than usual with one hand, but it still worked.
"What did you-" Barbara held up her free hand, silencing Bruce.
"3..." She counted down on her fingers."2..." She started to do her best to swing off the balcony, although her landing wasn't as graceful as usual. In fact, she's probably going to need a cast. "1..." The batmobile smashed the front wall, and beeped.
"Holy flying vehicles." Dick muttered to himself.
"What're you waiting for?" She asked.

"Did you know the batmobile could do that?" Dick asked, struggling to get to the car.
"I didn't even know it had an auto-pilot." Bruce admitted.
"Oh, it didn't. I just wrote some quick code to get things started. It's far from-" Barbara started.
"Perfect." Bruce read over the lines of code. "Batgirl, where did you learn to do this?"
"It's really just thinking about what would be logical."
"I can see why you like her." Bruce whispered a little too loudly to Dick, making both teens blush.
"Batman!" Dick whined.
"Um...sorry to interrupt, but I am losing quite a lot of blood here, and I'm pretty sure I have a concussion." And with that, Barbara collapsed into the back of the Batmobile.
