Chapter 11

Last night I came home, but I slept downstairs.. I didn't even want to confront Mila or what she had to say.

The next morning I stayed out until about 6 pm until I got a text from Brook saying: You mind coming over?

ME: On my way.

When I got to her house after ringing the doorbell she let me in.

"I was wondering if you and I could take Marilyn to the zoo or something." She said sitting across from me.

"Yea, we could tomorrow if you want to." I replied.

"Ok, and I just want to apologize for any confusion I caused between you and Mila, and it was not my intention to cause any of this Trey."

"No need to apologize Mila's just Mila. But I'll meet you over here tomorrow with Marilyn around 1:00." I smiled standing up and Brook nodded and stood up also.

I hugged her by her waist and squeezed her tight. "You get some rest now Brook." I said looking down at her. We went to the door where I left out and went to my car. When I got home Mila was sitting in the living room and I went in and hovered over her as she sat on the couch and tried to peck her lips but she dodged.

"What?" I asked.

"You've been gone all day, and you didn't call or text to tell me where you've been or anything." She said standing up.

"That works both ways because you haven't called or texted me either."

"So where have you been?"

"Why does it matter? It's over now."

"No! Where were you?"

"I was over Brooks house." I stated.

"Why!!"

"We were planning on taking Marilyn to the zoo tomorrow"

"Why didn't you tell me that at first? You two must have been too busy screwing each other"

"Mila chill."

"How can I chill when you stay the whole day gone to your ex wife's house?!"

"Well where the hell have you been all day Mila!!" I yelled.

"Here, taking care of our children! And there will be no zoo for Marilyn because they kids are at my parents house!"

I just walked out of the room shaking my head.

I called Brook..

ME: Brooky?

BROOK: Yes sir.

ME: There will be no zoo tomorrow. How about another time?

BROOK: I'll just come pick her up one day, you don't even have to come.. I just wanted to spend time with you.

ME: I'll be there tomorrow.

BROOK: No, I'm fine.. (She slightly laughed but I knew she was hurt.. I knew her too well.)

ME: Dress nice, we might go somewhere.

I hung up the phone before she could decline.

BROOK POV

I didn't know what to say, plus I didn't want to be a home wrecker, I just missed what I had with Trey. I jumped in my bed and squealed into the covers, smiling... I caught myself in the moment and sat up and leaned against the headboard.. Straightened my face and tried to keep from smiling too remembering he was married.

****The Next Day*****

"You okay?" Trey asked sitting across from me.

I was thinking about him... And my thoughts last night. Sitting in front of him had my mind racing.

TREY POV

"Yea, I'm fine." She slightly chuckled off.

"Well let's head out then." I said standing up.

We went to my and got in. "Does Mila know you're here." She asked.

"Nah not really, but something like that." I smiled.

Brook just chuckled and shook her head.

"So where are we going?"

"You'll see." I replied picking up the speed at which we were going.

I pulled up in the parking lot of the Carnival and we got out.

"The Carnival Trey, really?" Brook chuckled as I crossed over and closed he car door behind her.

"Yes really." I chuckled.... "You remember when we almost got caught doing the do in my car when we first met?" I chuckled.

"And I threw my phone under the seat to fake like I was looking for it." she giggled.

I watched her as she giggled and I smirked.

"Come on slow poke." She said intwining her hand in mine and pulling me as we ran to the game area.

I played the game where you hold the water gun shooter and Brook lost but I won. Chuckling I told the man to get one of those really big bears and I gave it to her. "Thank you." She smiled.

Then we went over to the ice cream station and I got cookies and cream and she got butter pecan. Afterwards we decided to get on the Ferris wheel.

As I looked across at her I noticed she began to get a phobia from being high up. I gently slid over to her and held her and she later her head on my shoulder.

I tried to fight the temptation as her puppy dog eyes looked down at the bear I had won her and the small bear she had won, I lifted her head up by her chin and kissed her. And surprisingly she kissed back. Then she broke it and laid her head on my chest. "This is what I envisioned." She whispered.

"Me too."  I thought to myself.

I took her home and walked her to her door step. "Goodnight." She said. I just stared at her, Lost in her... She began to close the door "Wait!" I called.

"Wha-"

I gripped her waist and our lips collided and she wrapped her leg around my waist. I closed the door and locked it. I took her to her bedroom and laid her down and kissed her lips and caressed her.

"I love you." Escaped our mouths in sync, at the same time....
