Chapter 8

I got to the roof at 8:57,to be a bit early.The wind whistled the silent atmosphere.A warm body appears behind me.I gasp then stiffen.A strong grip on my fore arms an a figure looming over my shoulder."Close your eyes."Alucard commands softly.I walk forward,a tad nervous of what he was planning.I know I like,no scratch that,love him.Being alone with the count ruler is a serious death wish.Every so often a leg or hand would brush my own which sent shivers through me.He softly pulls me to a halt."Now Open."His voice said sweetly with a hint of lust.I open my eyes and see a blood moon."Beautiful."I state.He snakes his fingers into mine.I jump slightly at his sudden actions.He sets a hand on my side and lifts my other hand up.He starts dancing.For him being a total blood thirsty badass this is weird.But my heart was racing an he knew it.His tension on my hand loosened.Tears were swelling,he knew.I grip his shirt as I enclose myself to him.Hours it seemed but I knew it was minutes.As so unfamiliar as this was I felt safe,secure.Loved.Something I haven't felt for years.I push against the body I held onto,suddenly frightened about who I was grasping.Memories flash as this happens.He looks at me shocked but sees the blood years streaking down my face."I'm sorry."I state walking away.I held myself tight,fearing my chances were over.Within a few moments Alucard hugs me from behind."It's alright,I'm here."He whispered.I turn and face him.His thumb runs under my right cheek and clears my pale skin of any red.He pulls me to him and strokes my hair."Alucard?"I ask."Shhhh."He whispered."I love you."I state.His hug like embrace unraveled."Max or Lacie?"He asks."Max."I reply."How well can Lacie keep a secret?"

My eyes open slowly.The room around me smelled of Alucard.I remember the deal we made last night.He was to call me Lacie around the others,an he could call me Max when we were alone.What really concerned me was if 'I' were to spill 'I' would be punished.I saw red fabric from the corner of my eye and black hair over the white covers.I roll over and run a few fingers through his hair.I tried to sit up but strong arms prevent me."Where does my bat think she's going?"He asked in a mocking voice.I roll my eyes at him with a smile plastered to my face."I'm assuming since there's the overpowering smell of pure badass I'd say we were in your room."I guesses.He blushed and avoided my eyes.I giggle till I hear a faint distant crash.Up stairs the third window on the first floor."Someone's breaking in."I shot put of bed grabbed my weapons,he did the same.He glided through the wall."Right behind you."I mutter running through the wall along with him.
The overpowering scent of the walking dead filled my nostrils,I appear in the hallway first before Alucard."Ghouls."I snap.A bite fills my senses as one bites my arm.Anger,pain blend together to make a dark roast of pure hatred for these things.I charged,tore muscle to meat.Bone to dust,skin to rubber.My face glinted in a mirror.It full of bloody enjoyment.My nails pierced everyone around me.Someone wraps there arms behind me."Ax,Max!Thats enough,please."Begged Integra.My breathing was short and rapid.Alucard walked in through the wall."You let her fight alone!"Snapped Integra who was beyond pissed.In his eyes approval and acceptance showed.I didn't want to listen to Integra scolding him like a child.So I walk away.
