-Jacob's POV- *1 week later*

I must say, Miss. Attaway is most definitely charming, though I fear our partnership is coming to an end. The omnibus company has been taken down, and there is nothing else to do. I've been meeting with her everyday for the past week, planning our next moves. As I was walking back to the train, my mind wandered onto the subject of me forgetting something. I really cannot remember, though.

As I stepped onto the train, I was greeted by the shouting of Evie

"What do you mean he's paired up with Pearl Attaway?" She shouted, obviously  annoyed

"Completely left me for her!" Mariska shouted, also very annoyed.

"What a git!" Evie flopped down on the sofa and cradled her head in her hands. I walked in and gave an awkward smile

"Speak of the devil," Mariska said, turning on her heel, ready to flee the carriage until I grabbed her hand, which she shook off

"I'll have you know she's a very nice lady," I said, glaring at them both

"You twat," Mariska said, now extremely annoyed

"What have I done?" I said, my hands shooting up in the air

"She's Starricks cousin. She's a Templar you tit!" She replied, sitting on the sofa next to Evie, doing everything in her strength not to kill me. She couldn't be a Templar. She was too kind. Too beautiful to have such an ugly mindset.

"She can't be," I said, sitting on the opposite sofa. Truth be told, I felt empty. "She's too beautiful to have such an ugly mind." That seemed to get Mariska riled up more.

"Beautiful? Beautiful?  You've known her for a week for Christ sake!" She said, flinging her hands in the air

"Oh yeah? Well I don't see you with any men!" I shouted

"Better no men than a Templar!" She retorted

"You know what, maybe next time we go undercover, you should go as a prostitute, you would blend in very nicely!" I shouted the loudest I could, silencing Mariska, and making Evie look up. Henry was at the door ready to walk through, but he turned on his heel and walked the other way as fast as he could.

"Jacob Frye, I can't believe you just had the audacity to call our good friend Mariska a prostitute," Evie said very loudly, with a strong hint of sternness

"Leave it Evie," I said, getting up to leave the train. "Oh yes, please remind your twat of a brother who has saved him many times from imminent death," I said at the door, then leaving.
