It’s been about a week since Niall’s and mine… Moment. After that we could not keep off of each other, for that night at least. It didn’t go far, it was just kissing, laughing, and talking. I enjoyed every moment, we stayed out until way later, and I probably didn’t get home until about 2 in the morning.

But we have kept our distance form one another, he stops by in the mornings, or we go get lunch together, but we don’t talk about it. It seemed like a sore subject to him, and I haven’t bothers to bring it up anyways, so I don’t even know.

As of right now, I was in practice, I haven’t bothered to go back to school, I find going to school online is by far way easier than actually attending. I made sure that I still had my chances of getting into college and Senior year isn’t THAT important, and the few colleges I dream to go to said I should be fine. So why even bother?

It wasn’t season for volleyball, but we still have out-of season tournaments with other schools around the neighboring cities, so we practice before they come to our school. We were starting to practice hitting, so I gathered all the girls to get in their positions. Coach was on the phone, and told me to take over for a little while.

We practiced for about two hours and I told all the girls to get a drink and take a break. They all groaned of happiness and walked to their bags.

Maggy came up to me her jet black hair bouncing in her ponytail, her blue eyes gleaming.

“Iris, we have missed you so much, it feels so complete now that you are back!” We didn’t get to talk that much when I came in at first seems how the boys made me late, by saying they were starving because no one cooks as great as I do.

I smile at her giving her a quick tight hug, I pull away still smiling, “Thanks Mags, means a lot.” I turn around to get a drink when I see Conner stroll into the gym with his hands in his pockets, always looking as devilish as he constantly acts to be.

He notices me and stops in his track with his eyes wide. I give him a playful smirk in his direction, and with that he comes running, his bad boy devil look completely gone and replaced with a child’s happy face. He runs towards me his arms wide, he picks me up by the waist, twirling me around, I just place a smile on my face waiting for him to put me back down on the ground.

“Iris!” he yells putting me down and putting his face in my neck.

“Conner, I’m all sweaty.” I say pushing his head away from my neck. He grips tighter around my waist, but removes he face, with a huge grin on his face.

“I don’t care, its Iris sweat. I could bathe in it if I really wanted.” I cringe at his word giving him a very dirty look, trying to push him away from. “Okay that sounded way wrong.” He finishes looking at me, he pulls away slightly but leaves his hands on my waist just staring at me.

“I’ve missed you babe.” He says in soft tone.

“Me too, Conner.” I say hugging him again.

We talked for a while once practice was over, I told him what happened during that phone call, well besides the whole almost kiss with Niall, Conner told me he hung up as soon as he heard my mother’s voice, so he didn’t hear what she had to say and I was thankful for that much.

The games were cancelled today so we got to leave early. I said good bye to all the girls, and Conner had to get to practice for basketball, we bid our goodbyes. I was actually upset to have to leave Connor, I had missed being around him, our relationship is so great, its actually perfect to be honest, but then I couldn’t help but think about Niall and our kisses we shared that night and now I am starting to feel torn. I shake those thoughts away, I will not let boys get in my way.
