The ambulance came within 15 minutes, and in that 15 minutes, Phoebe was unconscious after watching herself puke up blood. At first I stood their paralyzed unsure of what I was supposed to do, or what I should do. Natalie ran to her daughter’s side in an instant, like she knew it was going to happen, and the boys stood wide eyed just like me. Natalie went in the ambulance with her daughter I told her I would be there in a little while after I cleaned up this mess. She didn’t argue, I believe she actually wants me there with her.
We are all currently in the waiting room, well besides Natalie who is in the room. We have been here for at least over an hour waiting patiently. I told the boys I’d take them home, but they said it was fine if they stayed, they wanted too. I was more than grateful, well in a way. They still kept asking me for things, I mean honestly we were in hospital and they wanted me to make then food right then and there. It was not happening.
“Iris… I’m really hungry.” I hear Louis voice on the other side of the waiting room, they all have their hoods on trying to cover themselves up from any witnesses.
“What am I supposed to do about that?” I ask a little harsher than I wanted. I wasn’t in the best of mood, and being in a hospital, I always hated it, I’ve been terrified all my life, I always have had a very uneasy feeling when the word hospital comes up, or if I drive by one, or even on TV, my stomach starts to ache in the feeling of needing to vomit, and my head starts to hurt. But I was trying to just hold it out until I knew Phoebe was okay, or they didn’t need anything. As bad as it may sound I was really eager to find out what was wrong with her, she looked sick the first day I met her, but I bypassed it, and this whole scene only proves that there could be something wrong.
“Um, go get us food.” Louis says sarcastically, I narrow my eyes at his response.
“No, go down stairs and eat.” I reply back looking at all of them. I didn’t want to get up because I knew I would be shaky, and my legs might even just buckle underneath me, I’d rather be waiting for someone else then actually be in a bed for fainting.
“Why?” he whines stomping his feet on the ground like a child.
“You’re a grown man, you can get up and walk to the elevator that will take you to the lobby. It isn’t that hard.” I explain to him as if he was three years old rather than 21 year old.
“Exactly, if it isn’t that hard then you do it.” He says with a smirk playing on his stupid face. They act like I’m still their damn maid.
I groan in frustration, each one of them except Niall - which is surprise - has already had this conversation with me, they know they can push my buttons and that is exactly what they are doing. I stand up not bothering to look at any of them, maybe I can get some fresh air while I’m at it.
“I’m getting whatever they have, and you cannot complain about what you get.” I say walking away from the group. I turn down the long white hallway as my stomach starts to churn; I see the elevator and get a feel of happiness at the different color before my eyes. I press the down button and wait for the doors to open.
“You okay?” I jump to voice beside.
“Jesus Liam, don’t do that.” I give him a sideway glance trying to not answer that question, then I hear the ding of the elevator, turning my attention back the doors open slowly revealing two other people there, a couple probably who seems to be pregnant. I step in giving them a small smile as I turn and face the outside with Liam following me.
“Breath.” Liam whispers in my ear, as he says this I exhale the air I was holding in. Looking at him he was slightly smile looking down at me, not feeling any more calm however.
