I sat on the spruce chair, lazily sprawled out across the arms. My friends sat nearby, most of them tense but fine. "Ms. Ember Burnne," the secretary came out of her office as I righted myself.
"Yes, ma'am, that's me," I nodded and followed her into the office.
"Have a seat, Ms. Burnne," the lady sneered, pointing to a chair. I obliged and sat morosely.
The desk chair turned and I was faced with the unearthly beauty of the principal. "Hello, Ember," Ms. Sageflower smiled warmly. "Dolores, you can leave," she waved the secretary off. "Now," she said when the assistant was gone, "you seem to have been...absent for a few months."
My mouth dropped. "Oh, but I...I thought it was only for, I don't know, a month!"
She chuckled good-naturally. "You all must been in Notch's prison for longer than you thought!"
I laughed nervously. "So, why am I here? Meaning no disrespect, ma'am,, I--."
Her mirth was clearly growing. "You are here, not because you are in trouble, but because we know you are a close friend of the missing girl, Toboe Wolffe."
I swallowed. "Yes, I suppose I am."
"Do you have any idea where she is? Not only will it let us rescue Toboe, but it will also lead Notch's military to Herobrine, so we can end him," the principal asked.
"Well, there is Herobrine's mansion, in the Nether...but shouldn't we be--," I was cut off.
"Excellent! You and your friends are dismissed," Ms. Sageflower grinned, clapping her hands once. "Oh," she added as I was closing the door. "Welcome back."
