*Herobrine's POV*

White hot, intense rage was perpetually flooding through me. After trying to kill a few hybrids, and succeeding sometimes, I returned to the mansion. It kept the anger at bay, but it was always there, lapping in the pit of my stomach, a great ocean ready to surge at the slightest misgiving. I paced around, pondering on how to get my revenge. Ideas flew past my mind. Sneak in at night and assassinate all of them. Not evil enough. Take over the ghast's mind and destroy the whole fortress and them, and also take the ghast prisoner. Not like that pathetic, wimpy little pillow could do much damage. Call up the wither and ally with him. The wither...

An idea came to me. I went out and saw three of my wither skeleton guards slacking on duty. "You there!" I roared, letting some of the untamable rage slip. They looked up in shock. They saw me and stood straight, shoulders back and stony expressions. They held their bows loosely and looked at me.

"Sir yes sir!" One saluted nervously.

"Slacking on duty is a felony punishable by death. Who knows, criminals could have snuck in while you were jabbering on about...whatever!" I was shaking with rage. One stumbled back. "Step up here!" He did. I drew my diamond machete from its scabbard and sliced his head clear off. The rest of the body dissolved into code.

"What is wrong with you?" One of them gasped. He covered his mouth, realizing what he'd just said. "Please, no, Master! I-I didn't mean it! Don't! Please, no! Master! I have a family! I'll do anything, anything, please! My wife is dead, my children-they'll have no one left! Please, O Great Master! Please!" I ignored the shrill pleas for mercy and beheaded him as well.

The third guard raised his bow and quickly notched an arrow. "D-don't come any closer..." He said, his voice wavering fearfully. His bow quivered as he pulled back the string to full draw, his hand brushing his chin. "I'm warning y-you!"

I took a menacing step forward. The skeleton released the arrow. I felt a plunk and a sharp burst of pain in my abdomen. I roared in fury, ripped the arrow out, and threw it at the skeleton. It hit the skeleton with the force of my brute strength. He flew into the wall of my mansion and lay there, groaning. I lumbered forward with my sword and cut off his head. He exploded into code and I grabbed the skull. Blood seeped through my blue shirt, turning it a dark purple. I limped into the mansion and collapsed on the floor, wheezing. The red tiles around me were further enhanced.

My eyesight blurred. "Hero?" A small voice asked. I rolled over and saw a face that I recognized. Long brown hair framing tan skin with devious brown eyes. She had been my replacement for Toboe. I needed not to lock her up; she willingly stayed. She ran off and returned with cloth, bandages, and medical salve. She quickly treated the wound and I sat up, inwardly gasping in pain.

"Thank you, Jennifer..." I said through gritted teeth. She laughed shrilly and batted her eyelashes at me.

"You're welcome!" I got up and limped to my quarters, thinking about the last time a girl in my home had treated my wounds.

I woke up. My stomach throbbed in pain as I slid out of bed, groaning. I peered through the bandages and saw that it had healed a great deal. The wound was red and caked with dried blood, but no blood was oozing out. I took off the bandages and hissed in pain. I hobbled to the bathroom and grabbed a cloth and ran it under water. I circled the wound with the cloth, growling every time it slipped into the injury. The cloth was stained red and I threw it into the trash. No getting that out. I replaced the bandages and managed to get to the storage closet, which happened to hold potions of all kinds. I searched through racks of potions and found an instant healing one. I chugged it and fell over, gasping.

A burning sensation erupted from my wound. I groaned in agony and felt the pain overwhelm me. I grit my teeth, blocking out a scream of pain and closed my eyes tightly. The excruciating pain burned brighter and brighter until I couldn't take it anymore. I let out a horrific yell of terror and lay on the floor, panting. My eyes glossed over and I moaned. Suddenly the pain evaporated. I sat there, exhausted. Jennifer burst in and shouted, "What happened?!" She saw me lying on the floor and cradled my head in her hands. Too tired to relent, I allowed it this once. "What happened?" She repeated, this time gentler. She took the bandage off and saw a small white scar. "Instant healing?" She asked.

I nodded and squirmed out of her grip. It ached and I walked away, only with a slight limp. "Uh, you be careful!" She called. I nodded again and turned the corner, hobbling into my quarters and shutting the door. I sat at my desk and pulled out a quill and paper. I started planning my revenge. I knew I would get Toboe back. It would only be a matter of time before things went in my favor.
