Friday September 5th 2015.
My eyes fluttered open as Luke rubbed my back gently.
"Bee. Bee wake up!" I groaned and Luke ripped the blankets off me. I was wearing a sports bra and shorts so of course, I was freezing to death. I went to roll over, only to roll off the bed.
"Ouch!" I screeched at the top of my lungs. Luke laughed and stretched out his arm to help pull me up. I shook it off and stood up.
"Jeez, Some ones a little grumpy" Luke said as he tossed the blankets back on my bed and turned the light on.
"I'm not a Dwarf, nor am I a Disney character" I claimed as I walked into my bathroom.
"So, French toast for breakfast? "Luke said following me into the bathroom.
"Out you perv! and yes, I would love French toast!" I said while grabbing 2 towels from my closet.
"'Kay" Luke said leaving the room and closing my bedroom door behind him. I turned on the Wicked soundtrack on, threw my clothes in the hamper and hopped in the shower. I sang my lungs out, as the part of Elphaba (Of course) and let my IPhone sing everything else. A few minutes later I got out of the shower and blow dried my hair. I let it hang down, it was getting really long so I cut a inch off and flushed it down my toilet. No one, and when I say no one, I mean no one, likes split ends. I put liquid eyeliner on along with my black mascara. I put on some bronzer and concealer to cover up my pimply face. I curled my brown hair and pulled it to the side, to rest on my shoulder. I put on my glasses and then walked into my closet. I picked out a long sleeved white sweater and blue ripped shorts. I wore my black low top Chuck Taylors. I threw my books in my backpack and threw my basketball shorts and shirt in there too. I grabbed my phone, charger and backpack and ran down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen and saw Kayla, Aunt Liz and Luke sitting at the counter bickering about who got to sit with me.
"Uh guys?" I said while tossing my backpack on a stool. I plopped down at the opposite side of the counter and just grinned. "So? What's the agenda" I said while looking at Kayla who had her mouth gaping open. Then there was a knock on the door. I looked at each individual person. They all shrugged and began to eat there breakfast. "Oh. Okay. Don't worry I'll get the door. You guys can stop arguing about it now" I hopped off of my chair and dragged my feet to the door. I swung it open and saw Colton standing there with a big stupid grin on his face.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS. I GOT YOU A PRESENT CAUSE I LOVE YOU LIKE SO MCH OMG I CAN'T EVEN PUT INTO WORDS LIKE I MIGHT JUST CRY-" I grabbed his hand and led him into the kitchen. "Nice house" He said. Seeming a bit bipolar.
"Thanks for the approval. Now, where's the food? I said while pulling out the stool next to me and motioned for Colton to sit.
"Oh wow. So I practically raised you dang child" I cut him off by saying
"Don't remind me" before rolling my eyes and shoving more food in my mouth.
"And! You choose your lover boy to sit next to you instead of me" I looked at Kayla and immediately started laughing. I grabbed Colton's hand and swallowed my food. I pretended to act all serious and I stood up. I leaned down and kissed Colton. We stayed there for about 2 seconds before Luke said
"Isn't it time for you to go to school or something?" I pulled away and began to laugh once again. Colton's mouth was dropped to the floor and his eyes were popping out of his head.
"Brie- I" I grabbed my backpack and phone and then grabbed Colton's hand. I gave Luke and Liz a warm smile and a wave and then walked out the door. In the driveway I saw an amazing blue convertible parked next to my beat up jeep.
"Happy birthday, you" said Kayla giving me a tight hug.
"Kayla are you being for real? This is not something to joke about." Colton squeezed my hand and then stepped away and let go.
"Why would I joke with you?" I looked at her and then berried my face in her hair.
"Gosh Kay. I love you more than everyone" I ran up to the car and Kayla tossed me the keys. I hopped in the drivers seat and Kayla slid into the back. Colton sat next to me and placed his left hand on my bare thigh. Kayla leaned forward and pressed a button that made the roof go down. Then Colton turned the radio on and drummed his fingers against my leg. We pulled into school and I got a parking spot, right next to the cheerleaders.
I hopped out of the car and slid my seat forward so Kayla could hop out. Colton wrapped an arm around me and Grayson slipped up behind Kayla and wrapped an arm around her waist.
"Happy birthday ray of sun shine!" Grayson said while smiling at me. I smiled and said thanks as Colton pulled out his phone. He handed it to Grayson and said "can you take a picture?" Grayson nodded and took his phone. We threw our backpacks on the ground and I wrapped my arms around Colton's waist. He wrapped his arms over mine and kissed my forehead and I looked up at him and smiled. The picture was already taken but we stood there for another minute. I took it all in. What am I gonna do?
