Rachel's POV
I had woken up extra early to make me and Sav some coffee. I couldn't sleep at all, must be the excitement. Or the nervousness. Or both.
I was humming very quietly and dancing around as I went. I am in no means a morning person, but I was just so giddy from both the events that were going to occur later and the ones from last night that I couldn't help myself.
Before long, my insane friend stumbled in and I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing at her sleepy state.
We conversed, the whole deal. Nothing that interesting.
As I sipped at my coffee, it hit me how nervous I was. I'm that attractive, at least not in my opinion, and I'm not a good flirter at all. I hope I don't blow it.
I sucked in a big breath and suggested we get all pretty. Sav practically inhaled her drink and off we were.
----------
We did a lot to get ourselves ready. In fact, I don't think I could even tell you what we did because I don't remember.
We were now on our way to meet our dates and I held my breath. I really hoped I didn't do anything stupid. Yet again, it's me we're talking about so it's basically inevitable but still.
Before you could say 'spaghetti sauce' we were in the lobby.
Holy crap. There he was. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap. He looks really good.
I wonder if he smells good too? Is his hair soft? If I hugged him and found out, would it be too creepy? Oh, to heck with it. I'm just gonna hug him. You can't go wrong with a hug!
Before I even knew what I was doing, I embraced Ross in a hug. I tried to feel his hair without him noticing, and as I had expected, he smelled great. He giggled into my ear and I was snapped out of my daze.
I stepped back awkwardly and he giggled again. I swear, I almost melted.
"You look gorgeous!" Ross complimented, and I smiled at his wide eyes and hand movements. He was so energetic.
"Thanks. You look nice too," I responded.
"Nice? That's it? Nice?" He pouted and I couldn't help but laugh.
"You look wayyy better than just nice but--" I stopped myself. "Can we go now?"
I turned to Sav and Andrew and pretended not to notice Ross's victorious grin.
