~Savannah's POV ~
I spun around to gawk at the scenery to Rachel, but to my astonishment, the limo drove off with my friend and her date. I gasped suddenly as my hands shook, but I remained collected. Andrew had me alone...
He glanced down at me (yes, even in these skyscrapers, he was that much taller than me), and a smirk formed at the corner of his perfect lips that had been against mine before.. The thought sent chills down my spine.
"Alone at last" he said, running a hand down my chilled back. It was skin-on-skin contact.. And I loved it.
"You mean you don't need that smooth wingman of yours" I joked, despite my stirring feelings. Andrew just snickered, reaching for the door and holding it open for me. I do believe my mouth fell open about this time. This. Place. Was. Mesmerizing. It was ethereal.. I felt like I was dreaming. This is something I would dream about.
"Andrew.. You don't know how incredible.. I mean, all I've ever known is small towns.. This is my dream!" I tried not to sound so excited but I just could not help myself.
"Your drawl is contradicting your getup. It's rather adorable." He gushed over me in his English accent. How could someone so gushable gush over ME!? He took me by my hand and led me to a table as my head whipped from side to side, taking pictures in my mind of the grandness of it all, and of him...
The dimmed lighting was a clear sign that this place was going to be unforgettable. I don't think I've ever not had a good time in a dimmed room.
"Order anything you want" Andrew said assuringly as the waiter brought out these slightly warmed bread slices. I ordered a Caesar salad and a petite filet. My stomach was too excited for food, but these would make a nice midnight snack tonight.
"So tell me more about this small town of yours" Andrew said, and as I began my speech about how I wanted to leave the place as soon as I was old enough to be behind the wheel, our drinks were placed in front of us. Liberty drinks. Just like in the limo. I am forever grateful for Andrew in these moments as I take bigger gulps than a lady really should.
"Well, you will definitely take me to this small town one day. I have never known anything smaller than Raleigh." Andrew stated.
"I can assure you there is absolutely nothing attaching me to my town, but I can see you're a curious kitten like myself, so we will go.. C'est la vie.." I giggled.
"Oh, français?" Andrew raised his eyebrows.
"Oui, oui, mon chérie." I smirked.
"That is.. Sexy" and as the words tumbled from his mouth, I felt my face flush. He really just said that to me. Another bacchanalian gulp.
"Merci beaucoup" I closed my eyes and tilted my head to him.
"De rien" he said, giggling slightly, causing me to lose what bit of cool I had left with holding back my giggles.
Sitting here at this table, getting to know Andrew better.. I could not even see the other people around us in the restaurant. I mean, I was aware of their presence, but the amount of cares being had were none. I didn't even notice until our banter was interrupted with our main entrées. I ate what I could while continuing to chat it up with Prince Charmant, until I had to request a to-go box. I noticed Andrew had almost exactly what I did, just expanded. I was aware of Andrew scraping his leftovers into my box as well. My midnight munchies would be grateful. I am also aware that he has paid the check and is taking me by my arm, steadying me slightly and walking back toward the door with me.
"Au revoir fanciest place I will ever step foot in" I whispered as we reached the door.
"Don't be too sure, Princess" Andrew said, leaning in and planting a soft kiss on my cheek.
We strolled down the streets that I never wanted to ever think about leaving for what seemed like hours, fingers laced together, leaning in for small, sweet kisses and whispers.
One of my small, baby kisses must've especially spiked Andrew's interest, because he grabbed my cheeks with his hands softly and pulled me in, deepening the kiss. I held back a gasp as I kissed back and when he pulled back, he glanced around quickly.
"Get a room!" Someone shouted, pushing past us. Andrew slid his arm around me protectively.
"Can't. It's only the second date!" He yelled, giggling impishly as he pulled me off into a small alleyway in between a bakery and a burger place. The smell of the businesses and Andrew as he pulled my body up against his was intoxicating to say the least. I could see the desire in those deep, piercing brown eyes, staring into my own grey ones. Without warning, he pulled me back against his mouth even more intense than he had the first time. I didn't gasp this time, I just gave in, wrapping my arms around him back and lifting my leg up slightly as I felt his hand help lift my thigh. He held my back up against the burger shop's façade, stroking my skin softly as his mouth pressed up against my own over and over again. His tongue began to invade my mouth and I welcomed it gladly with my own. I had to pull away to suck in air, but neither of us could stay away from each other's kiss for too long. It was an impalpable bond with more electricity shooting through it than a lightning storm.
