The eigth chapter:
Test grades and class skippers?
"Koori wake up!" A loud voice said while something shook my shoulder. I opened my eyes slightly as everything went blurring for a couple seconds till I regained my eye sight.
I open my eyes all the way and look at Kurisu who is sitting on my stomach as I turned my head to look at the time. "Shit it's already nine o' clock?" I yell as I twist back over and try to get up but fail. "Oh . . . ya . . . you're on me. . . GET OFF ME!"
I push Kurisu off my stomach as he goes tumbling to the floor and lands on his face. I swing my legs over the bed and step on his back then onto the ground. "Ow! Was that really appropriate?" Kurisu yells from the ground.
I turn around and look at him like he was crazy as I offered my hand as he took it and I pulled him up. "What? No "big guy" talk today?" I ask as I look at him like he had three heads.
"Big guy . . ." He mumbled and trailed off at the end and walked out the door.
I watch him as he walked as I raised any eyebrow. What's up with him lately? He hasn't been acting like himself, I need to figure out what's going on, I thought to myself as I walked into the kitchen where he is.
"Can you make me some toast." I ask as I sit down in a chair at the dining room table. He sticks a spoon of peanutbutter in his mouth.
"What's the magic word?" He says with his mouthful as he takes out the spoon and puts it in the sink. I roll my eyes slightly as I sloutch in my chair.
"Abra kadabra?" I say as I looked at him, still trying to figure out what's with him. Is he sick? No, no. He doesn't look sick. THEN WHAT IS IT?
"Nope!" He says as he wiggles a piece of bread in the air as I puff out a sigh of annoyance.
"Pretty please with two cherries ontop so it will be symmetrical?" I ask I smile slightly and shrug.
"Well, just for the two cherries I will throw in some strawberry jelly," He says as he puts the bread in the toaster and pulls down the lever. He walks over to the table and sits into the chair across from me. "Shouldn't we be getting to school?"
"Eh, we're already three hours late. What's the point now?" I ask as I tap my fingers on the table, wanting to ask him my question badly.
"But we get our test scores today." He says a little hestiant. I'm sure he doesn't want to go to school either.
"Yeah and we can always get them tomorrow too," I say, pausing to think of a way to ask him what's going on when the toaster dings and interrupts me.
He gets out of his seat to go get the toast and I slump down in my chair. Ugh, whenever I'm about to tell him I always get- "Strawberry or raspberry jam?" He asks.
"Strawberry." I reply. Damn! Even my thoughts get interrupted! He walks back over to the table and puts the plate down in front of me and sits down.
"As you were saying, I guess that will be alrig-"
"WHAT HAS BEEN WITH YOU LATELY?!" I suddenly blurt out as I quickly cover my mouth. He raises an eyebrow at me.
"What do you mean-"
"You haven't been yourself. You haven't been boosting your ego. You haven't been talking about how much of a "big guy" you are. You're just not being the Kurisu that I know." Phew, finally got that off my chest.
He didn't speak for a while, just sat there awkwardly and starred at his plate. "Well, I'm going to school. If you want to stay home, go right ahead." He says while getting up and grabbing his backpack.
