Chapter 7

As I start to open my eyes I notice that I'm back in bed.

"How did I get here?" The last thing I remember is Ayato trying to throw me from the roof and then after I stayed outside. Did I accidentally fall asleep on the grass? And if I did, are the vampires nice enough to place me back in bed?

Oh well.. no point in thinking about it.

I stand from the bed and walk towards the door. Making my way to the stairs I decide to stand on the railing.

I hold my arms up and try my very best to keep balance.

"A-ah...I got this..come on!" I slowly take one step forward and allow my other leg to follow.  It wasn't too hard to keep my balance, but there were a few instances where I was going to fall off.

"Oi Tomboi"

"A-Aya--OW!" I lose my balance and fall off the ramp.

He laughs.

I rub my head "O-OW"! Ayato, why did you have to distract me?!"

"Fun" he states walking past me.

"Ugh!" I continue to rub my head as I stand and rub all the dirt from my clothes. I walk down the stairs normally and walk to the kitchen. No one was in there but I wanted to find something to do.

As I look around I notice that on top of the sink there was a window.

I stand on my tip-e-toes and take a gander at the outside world. Looking around I see the garden that surrounded the mansion.

"WOW! What pretty roses. I wonder who planted them"?

I stop staring at the window and walk outside.

I walk to where the window was and decided to look around the garden. As I looked, one rose caught my eye.

It was a black and purple rose.

"Woah...I've never seen a rose like that"!

I run to the bush that held that rose and extended my arm to touch it.

"Ow!"

I get pricked on the finger.

Wow! I'm really getting hurt today! At least they're small bruises, they'll heal in a few seconds I'm sure.

I step away from the bush and travel to the front of the mansion.

There I saw the fountain. I walk towards it and sit on the edge.

I place my fingers in the water

"Cordelia, you are easily the most beautiful and elegant being alive"

"Wha-"

I look around to notice that it's day? The sun is out, but...it was just night! I'm still sitting on the fountain, but-

"It is obvious that all things exist to love you and kneel at your feet"

I turn to the voice and see that it was coming from a man with greenish-black hair. He was sitting at a table and sat across a woman with purple hair and green eyes. He held her right hand as the woman smiled and had her other hand laid upon her chin.

"Ritcher I would like you to always stay by my side just to whisper your sweet nothings"

Who are these people? I've never seen them bef--

As I look at the scene I see a young Ayato standing behind a pillar.

Is he seeing this too??

Suddenly everything turns gray. All the colors of the trees and even the color of their hair disappear.
