Its time to talk

"I walk out of the GL block after English to head to my area for morning tea. I get half way there when I feel someone grab my arm and pull me towards a tree.
"What are you doing", I say turning to yell at the person.
"You said we would talk so let's talk", Rafael says moving a bit to close to me from what I like.
"Right I forgot", I say taking a step back.
"Let's sit he says says sitting down at the table under the tree.
I dump my bag down and sit across from him. I look up to see him starting deep into my eyes I hold his gaze then break away from it.
"What", I ask
"Why were you hanging out with Jesse", he questions.
"Because I can" I say.
"Yes I know that but why", he questions again.
"Because I got asked to show him around by the principle and to be his temporary friend", I reply.
"Well you can stop because he looks pretty popular to me", Rafael says moving his eyes towards our area.
I follow his gaze to were Jesse was sitting with a group of girls around him and a few boys. I feel a pang of hurt and jealousy hit me.
"Don't look so hurt he hasn't been around girls for a while. Plus he's not your type", Rafael tells me.
"I'm not hurt and you don't know my type", I shoot back.
"Well you used to like me and Jesse is nothing like me", Rafael yells at me.
"Exactly I used to like you and I'm glad he's nothing like you so that means he won't do the same to me what you did", I yell back.
"When are you ever going to let that go", He yells back as I get up and walk away.
I stop and turn around just enough to see the pain in his eyes.
"When it stops hurting", I say barely keeping a sob in.

I walk into science and take my seat next to Rafael. He doesn't look at me or take notice of me. We get half way through the lesson when we are told to take our persons hand on the left and feel the pulse. I turn to fave Rafael who was already look right at me.
"Can I have your arm", he asks softly.
I reach my arm out to him he takes my arm in his left hand and uses to fingers to check my pulse. His hands are warm and smooth.
"Your heart is beating fast are you ok", he asks.
I pull my arm away and take his. I put my fingers down were his pulse is supposed to be and don't feel anything.
" i think Rafael must be dead because I can't feel anything" I yell out.
"Good job Isabelle. Know everyone if you can't find the pulse slide your two fingers under you partners ear near there neck, Isabelle go ahead and show everyone", she tells the class.
I slide my two finger up Rafael's neck and sure thing felt his pulse. I look up and notice he is looking at me with intense eyes again.
"Why do you keep doing that" I ask.
"Doing what", he ask still looking at me.
I must be imagining things.
"Nothing", I say I take me hand off his neck and turn back around.

I am sitting in history when everyone's phones go off. We all open them and fined an update on the gossip blog.

Hey guys I'm back.
Well well well our little friend Izzy was caught flirting with her best friends boyfriend at recess. But hey we shouldn't be surprised she's going to do anything to get him back from her back stabbing friend. Who was found sitting in the bathroom with tears streaming down her face right after the cow and Rafael were caught leaning a bit to close for our poor Annie's liking. I look across the room and see Rafael with his head down.
"I hope your happy know", Annie yells at me from across the room.
She gets up and runs out of the classroom I get up and rum after her with my phone in hand.
