I grab two show jumping saddles and bridles and through them into the float along with a few saddle blankets, I had on white jodhpurs, my new show shirt and show jacket with my showing boots and chaps. I knew we were going to do great as long as we kept our mind on the course well me but still I had to stay focused, when it comes to competition I have to win or at least I like to.
"King Fishers ready to load", Jesse said walking past me as he did.
Ok so maybe I may have been a bit harsh on him at dinner the other night but still what he did was unforgivable.
"Thanks", I replied.
I walk into the stable and find him waiting in his stall, he looked gorgeous his mane was done in knots and his tail was half braided.
"Well don't you look handsome my gorgeous boy", I said giving him a kiss on the muzzle.
I looked around Rafael was in town so Jesse must have done it, he is amazing at it like crazy good. I walk around trying to find him he's no where, so I make my way to Crackers stall. There he was looking as gorgeous as King Fisher, but why was he looking like her was ready for a show.
"Why haven't you put King Fisher in yet?", Jesse asks then notices what I'm looking at.
"Why is Cracker look like he's ready for a show?", I question back.
"Because your not the only one who does shows around here", he replies.
"Oh right, um well I was looking for you to say thanks for doing King Fisher for me", I say finally looking up into his gorgeous brown eyes.
"All good, he's definitely been spoilt, was trying to bite me I guess he wanted you to do it", he says smirking at me.
"Haha doesn't surprise me", I laugh.
We look at each other we both knew what we wanted but no one dare moved, we weren't fighting or glaring.
"Izzy come on lets load King Fisher", Rafael says from behind.
I jump from surprise, I smile at Jesse before turning around to leave.
"Isabelle wait", Jesse says grabbing my arm.
"Yeah", I ask.
"Never mind", he says grabbing the stall door to Crackers stall.
"Ok but it's Izzy", I say making him smirk.
I ran to King Fishers stall u tied him and lead him towards the float, we got a few meters closer when he tugged on the lead line.
"Easy boy common", I pulled him forward a bit.
That's when the unexpected happened he flipped out, he through his head up and started to rear. I wasn't expecting it at all I went flying forward trying to pull him down but he wasn't taking it, he throw he's hind quarters out and started rearing again.
"Easy Fisher, easy boy", I said trying to calm him down. I felt someone come wrapping there arms around the lead rope from behind me and give it a good pull bring him back down on all fours and stay there. I walked forward and grabbed his halter calming him down.
"You ok", Jess asked looking at me with worried eyes.
"Yeah fine but what's with him", I ask still shaken up.
"I don't know maybe something spooked him", he said.
"Yeah probably, well lets try again", I said as I walked him back up the the float and he went up without complaint.
"Weird, oh well lets hit the rode", he called over his shoulder while loading up Cracker.
I jumped in the back as Jesse got in the front and Rafael in the passenger seat.
"You ready to put Jesse to sham", Rafael called over the music.
"What, I'm versing you?", I call to Jesse.
"Yeah it was a last minute decision", he called back.
Left it and put my earphones in my ears and prepared myself for the show, an hour later we were still driving with two hours left. I looked up from my phone and saw Jesse look in the review mirror and smile at me, I smiled back which felt good it felt like the ice was slowly melting.

I backed the horses out of the float handing Crackers lead line to Jesse when I receive one of his irresistible smirks I giggle, giggle I never giggle what is wrong with me. I lead King Fisher to the side of the float and tie him to the railing and grab his grooming box. I spend a while making sure his coat gleamed I then tacked him up and went to get my number, I pulled out number 784 then headed back to get King Fisher to warm up.
"Hey Izzy want to warm up together", Jesse called.
Annie was standing next to him in a very very short skirt, midriff and heels great choice of clothing to be wearing around horses. As I thought maybe we would be fine again but no he had to get together with Annie, like who wouldn't she's beautiful, single and free.
"It looks like your hands are tied, good luck training that mare she looks hot headed", I hiss out.
I spin around and lead King Fisher away before he could reply, it was our time to shine not hers or his we had to beat his sorry ass. I mounted up and rode out into the arena and trotted for two circles then pushed him into a smooth canter, I kept my attention on him and him only for the whole warm up. I took him over a few jumps but not to many to tire him out and he went over them without complaint. I had ten minutes left so I trotted over to the arena and waited.
"Rider 794 Jesse on Fire Cracker "Crackers show name" please enter the arena", the louder speaker crackled to life starting the competition off.
That's when Jesse rode into the arena look gorgeous on top of Cracker, they slowly and steadily cantered towards the first jump just a plain cross pole, moving over to a jump with flower boxers on each side to try and distract the horse, Cracker flew over without even looking or shifting and landed comfortably on the other side inches away from the jump. He cleared the next eight as easily then got closer to the brick wall which was supposed to look solid to worry the horses but like all the others he flew right over, they then headed to the last jump and double oxer making sure that your timing was right was the key to this jump and he did he flew over the first over and two strides later they jumped the last jump. With the perfect score of zero faults and a time of 53 seconds. I had to beat that or I was gone, I had to make the finals and beat him.
