Half the time, you can find our small group of nerds in a tucked in corner of the hallway. Half the time, we are doing homework, playing games or screaming. It's a very quaint existence. One minute, one of us is talking about the latest math test or being salty, the next somebody is yelling about horses. I am one who belongs to said group of nerds.

When I say "nerds", I mean nerds, geeks and the like. All of us fit into these categories at some point. I'm more geeky than anything, so if you want to talk about video games, I'm the one. To give an introduction to myself, I'm known as Winter or Snowy, depending on which one is easier to say. I like to think of myself as one of the sane ones in our group(half of which you don't know yet), but honestly I'm probably mixed in with the weird ones.

I think the honour of least insane would be given to Sky. She's the one trying to handle and calm us down most of the time. Then you have Salt and Jackass, both of which you've already met and then the rest. Due to lack of free time and my ability to procrastinate, I am finally bringing you a chapter written by myself.
It's actually pretty hard to talk about our group as a whole without refering to them as ambiguous titles such as "that one" or "them", but I'll try my best to give you a picture of our group. Salt is definitely one of the major recurring themes of our group, as in there's a lot of it. As for people you haven't met yet...

Let's see...there's the one who's pissed off a lot, the one that's enthusiastic, the one whom I call Waifu and the mysterious one. Asking that certain mysterious person in the group about me will result in talk about the "Twilight Zone", werewolves, dragons and whatnot. To which I say "Fight me Princess". Maybe when the time comes, she herself will be able to tell you about the aforementioned things (nudge nudge, wink wink). Um... The dynamic our group has, is weird to say the least, but at least we have fun.

Anyway, I guess in RPG terms, our group is pretty well-balanced. Sky would be the healer/cleric, Salt would be the antihero tagging along, being a black mage and casting offensive elemental magic. She would use fire magic when pissed and occasionally use it to cook. Salt seems like the kind of person to get really good at fire magic and then overuse it like a pyromaniac. Jackass is a travelling mechant selling his wares to random passerbys for extra money. Oh! I forgot to mention, another thing with this group is assigning roles to things. It doesn't really make sense right now, but trust me, it will soon.

Moving on, the enthusiastic one would be the witch character, specializing in alchemy and having a purple snail familiar (their name would be Janthina). The mysterious one is a thief who might or might not be a secret princess. The princess thing is a running gag that will probably be explained in her chapter (cough cough). The angry one would be a two-handed sword wielder who loves being destructive and Ghostie would be the archer who also uses her bow as a versatile weapon and not just for projectiles. I would probably be the one-handed sword wielder dealing with quick offensive attacks and maybe some other stuff. Together we make up a travelling group of mercenaries working for a guild, taking requests from the public and whatnot. We mainly wander around gaining money for Jackass, gathering ingredients for our witch, and gaining exp for the next boss. We spend most of our time together and create strategies for optimal fighting.

One of the people we fight the most comes in the form of Morgana, the evil sorceress. I think she was actually mentioned earlier in this book all the way back in Sky's chapter. Anyway, that story was one which ended in our loss. Yeah... we have managed to survive for longer now but we have still yet to beat her. Quoting Sky, she really did "leave us bleeding on the Cartesian Plane." It was not a sight to behold. Recently, we had tried fighting her again. At this point we didn't know that she had a one hit kill move that we ended up calling T.I.P.S. This of course is an abbreviation for "Trigger Imminent Poison and Suffering".  The first time it hit, we weren't ready and most of us were defeated. The only people who survived an attack were Mahima and myself. Even then, I lived with 8% of my health and I was subsequently defeated after the next hit. Mahima miraculously somehow managed to dodge it and ended up living with 100% of her health. How she did it, I have no idea. Maybe it has something to do with being a thief.

Along the way, we of course fight other things like ogres, giant spiders and worm monsters that do continuous damage and leech off happiness... you know the usual things you fight in life.

However, if there is something that threatens the group, I will rise and probably fight it, because as you know, "I fight for my friends". Anyone who says otherwise are very ignorant of my personality and willpower. What you see here is pretty much a normal day for us. Maybe one day, you too might be able to know the secrets of the Town of 66th Skip, the scorching sands of the desert, the stories of our grand battles, the princess and maybe some more about the things we fought earlier.

A/N

Hello, this is a first but I hope you enjoyed my chapter. I'm sorry if any of you guys thought my chapter was boring. I do have plans in mind of the stories I want to tell so look forward to that. Right now, half of our group is unknown so writing about them with the same terms might be a little bland, so please bear with me. I know I could have used placeholder names, but that loses the effect of the mystery surrounding them. By the way, who is this princess character? Who is this Ghostie? Maybe you'll find out in the next chapter. Hope you enjoy the next chapter! -Winter
