The Unexpected (Jacksgap FanFic)

"Hey I'm Jessie but everyone calls me Jess, nice to meet you." I say trying to act like i don't really know who he is.

"And I'm Darcie." She says innocently like a child talking to their mother. I sit and look down trying not to make eye contact with him because that would be kinda weird, right? But looking down means I can't look into his perfect green eyes and look at his perfect smile.

"Soooo..... Any of you know the way around the school?" He asks

"I do, but we have a double here and if you want you can spend break with me and my friends." I say slowly looking up to meet his eyes. Those green eyes of his. He is what I call perfection.

"Yeah, sure. Do you mind if my brother comes along too? He's in the class next door." I'm stuck for words. Stuck in his eyes, those beautiful eyes. JESS SNAP OUT OF IT!

"Your perfect.... I MEAN.... THAT'S perfect." Way to keep i cool Jessie. Just act like you didn't say that, maybe he didn't notice... He giggled. Man that laugh. That laugh has got me in another trance. I laugh along with him, trying to hide my embarrassment, hoping my cheeks haven flared red.

"So can I have your number then Jess? Just so we an meet up at like breaks and stuff.." Did Jack Harries just ask for my number? "Yes, Jack Harries did just ask for your number." He said...

"Did i just say that out loud?" I say curiously. Mentally face-palming, way to make a fool out of yourself Jessie.

"Yeah.." He says laughing.

"Uh, well sure," I smile awkwardly, hoping he doesn't think I'm an idiot. "I'll give you it after class."

"Yeah, okay," he says back, looking at the white board and copying down the notes as quickly as he can. "Sorry for intruding on your group of friends."

"No need to be sorry," I breathe, copying the board and trying to keep discreet about talking. It's my first day back, I can't get into trouble. "You'll love them."

"Can I see your timetable so I can see if your in any other classes of mine?" I ask, hoping he doesn't think I'm a creep.

"Sure, just let me find it," He hands me his timetable and I glance over it. The classes looking identical to the ones on my sheet also. "There you go."

"Yeah.... Jack....." I say slowly. Putting the sheet down before Mr. Dunn sees I'm not doing the work.

"What is it?" He asks

"You're sort of in all of my classes..." I laugh and hand him it back. And turn to see Darcie working from a textbook. And I open mine to the same page and begin to work. While we were all working i looked up and saw Jack looking at me. He quickly looked away and i smiled to myself. He's so damn cute, his cheeks go a light shade of pink.

Jack's POV

"You're sort of in all of my classes..." She said. Wow her voice is so sweet. Yes! And she's in all of my classes and I'm getting a pretty girls phone number! Maybe Jess is my first friend here. This school's pretty mad, everything's all busy and i don't get why there's so many people. At my old school there was maybe half as many people.

Her fringe is in her face. I'm so tempted to move it, but I know I shouldn't. Just act normal and look at the textbook. Crap she caught me. Look away Jack.

"How long have we got until break?" I whisper to Jessie.

"About 5 minutes actually... This has gone pretty fast for maths first thing." She whispered back. I look at the clock, wonderin how I've managed to work for so long and miss the first bell.

"Alright class, you can pack up!" Mr. Dunn shouts across the classroom. So i put my jotters and textbook into my bag and stand up along with Jess. She only goes up to about my nose, she's a lot smaller than i thought she would be.

"Your a little munchkin!" I nudge her and say.

"Oi! That's nasty, I'm not that small!" I see her looking around for someone smaller than her and points to this boy that is even smaller.

"What is wrong with people in this school? They're too small! It must be munchkin-vill." I laugh to her and she giggles back. "So what are your friends called?" I ask her to break the silence between us.

"We'll theres Kat, Selena and Gavin, i think you'll get along with him." She says.

"You sound like you've got a nice little gang there." I say with a smirk on my face.

"Yeah... They're all so hardcore..." I laugh. She's really funny and she gets me. Finally I've met someone who isn't just a crazy fan. The bell went and i followed her to the place they call the quad to this tree. It's a big oak tree and is starting to blossom.

"FINN FINN THE BETTER TWIN!" I hear coming from behind me. It's Finn.

"Hi Finn." I say with my back to him. "This is Jessie."

"Hey Jess, I'm Finn and i am the better twin. You should be hanging around with me, not Jack!" He laughs so i elbow him i the stomach and continue following Jessie. He can be so cocky when he wants to be, but I know he's only doing it to be annoying. Jessie runs off and I keep my eye on her before telling Finn about my first few classes.

Jessie's POV

Being around twins that look so similar is scary, especially these two. So i run off when I see Selena.

"SELENA!" I shout and run to give her a hug. "I haven't seen you for like 6 weeks!"

"You should have called me! Or texted me or whatever!" She said hugging me back even tighter.

"I did Sel! Conversations work two ways. Meet the twins.... Jack and Finn Harries!" I give her the dagger eyes to indicate that they are the people she thinks they are. Me and Selena are really close, we can communicate like this and she understands. Kat comes along behind us and stands there in shock. I turn around to see her like this and wave my hand across her face.

"Kat! These are the two new boys... Finn and Jack," I say to her and she snaps out of it

"Um hi, I'm Kat," She introduces herself and smiles at them.

"And I'm Selena," Selena says shyly.

"We'll its very nice to meet you all," One of them say, I'm not quite sure what one because i don't know if they've swapped places. I don't know them well enough to tell them apart that quickly.

**5 hours later**

Jack seems so nice, he isn't escaping my mind right now. He asked for my number and he still hasn't texted me... Great that was probably just a way of conversation and he probably isn't going to text me. I over-think too much. So i sat around for a bit in some shorts and a vest top, it's really warm outside today and I'm spending it all cooked up in a my house. My phone buzzes and I take it out of my pocket instantly, feeling myself getting hyped up.
