Jessie's POV
I unlocked the door to my now empty house, it's only me that's going to be living here. I'm thinking about moving back in with my mum but that'll give her the satisfaction. I miss Victoria and all my new friends. I feel so heart broken here.
The house is literally empty, there's only a couple of boxes that I brought myself. I went over to the first out of two rather big boxes and took it up to my room. It still had my bed and mattress and few other things that didn't get moved and put a duvet and cover on it.
I sat down a minute and just thought, about everything that had ever happened to me. Good and bad. And my mind wandered off into another planet. I never got a reply off Jack earlier at all. I picked up my phone and started deleting our messages. When I get stopped by a name coming on my screen.
**Finn**
I contemplate answering it incase it's Jack. But I give in.
"Yeah?" I ask bluntly.
"Hey, it's Finn. Just wanted to know if your alright?"
"Yeah."
"Sure about that?" He asks.
"Yeah."
"Promise me?" That got me. I get told off for breaking promises all the time and I know I shouldn't.
"No." I break. Keep it together Jessie. You're better than this. Keep it together.
"How about I come over? I can help." Finn overs, his voice getting higher towards 'help'.
"No it's alright, I'm fine." I lie. "I'm getting unpacked anyway so I'm busy. See you tomorrow, bye." And I hang up before he gets the chance to say bye back.
Well that was interesting. I make my way back down stairs towards the last box to see it's my photos and books and CD's. So I put it to one side and collapse on the sofa. Since we were only having a trail in Scotland my mum never got the electricity canceled... Yet anyway. That'll be her way of getting me out the house. I figure out how to set the TV back to the way it was before and watch 'She's the man'.
I open my eyes and realise the film is over. I look at the time on my phone and see that it's 2am. Standing up and trampling my way up stairs I fall onto my bed and try to get back to sleep. Tossing and turning. This is great. I can't sleep, just great. I'm going to have to get up soon and I can't sleep. Ugh.
****
After a long night of uneasy sleeping I finally get up and get ready for school. I decide not to make an effort with my appearance and just leave after I brush my hair and teeth. On my way out i go to get some toast but I find no bread there. No bread, no food, no money. I totally came prepared. Not...
I lock the door and continue to school. The twins are walking behind me. That's when I start walking quicker. I now feel eager to get to school, this is a first. I'm not in the mood to talk to Jack, or anyone in that case. I'm just not ready. Plus I shouldn't be sad, I dumped him. But why would he be sad? He has Kat...
Pushing that thought aside I enter the school to see everybody looking at me. Self esteem level going down. I should've atleast wore some concealer... I take the hair band from my wrist and tie my hair up. Taking my glasses out my blazer pocket and putting them on. Feeling like a different person I walk through the crowded hall with my head up and make my way to a toilet.
I stood and looked at myself in the mirror for awhile. I rubbed my eyes and jumped when I saw a girl standing behind me.
"Hi." She says.
"Um hi..."
"You're Jessie aren't you?"
"Yes... And you are?" I ask as nicely as possible.
"I'm Kristina." She says quite sweetly but creepily at the same same. "I'm waiting on my friend Hannah."
We stand for a minute in complete silent until we hear the toilet flush. And the sound of a door unlocking.
"Hi Kristina... And." She continued. "Omg it's you!!! Jessie!" She screamed pouncing at me.
"Hey. It's nice to meet you." I smile, trying to be nice but seriously it's creepy.
"I've saw your YouTube videos!" The smallest one with blonde hair says. I think it was Hannah.
"Yeah they're not the best but I guess people like them." I laugh.
"Do you want to hang out with us and our friend Heather?" Kristina smiles at me. I don't actually see how I could say no.
"Sure, where about do you all hang out?"
"Emm... We normally stand at the bottom of the quad." They nod.
"Sure! I'll come, better than the top of the quad anyway." I follow them both out of the toilets and walk with them to meet their friend. Who I believe is called Heather. I think I've heard of her name, could be another Heather but I hope it's this one. Just like these girls faces are familiar. It just shows we actually do all know each other at this school but we just don't know it. We came up to Heather, she had very long brown hair, she was tall and slim and her and Kristina met not with a hello but a hip rotation. I love them already.
"Hey, I'm Heather!" She yells over.
"I'm Jessie." I shyly laugh back.
"Oh we all know that." She emphasises the word 'all'.
Hannah was the smallest of them all followed by Kristina. Kristina was wearing her hair half up and half down and Hannah's was all down and wavy. We all wore the appropriate school uniform with skirts down to mid thigh. Further down our thighs than most girls at our school. Otherwise know as the 'sluts'.
"I never knew you wore glasses." Kristina blurted out.
"Kristina you can't just say that!" Hannah replies after.
"It's fine!" I laugh. "I've always had glasses... Just never wore them, I always stuck to contacts so I never looked geeky."
"There's nothing wrong with glasses." Hannah looks at me. She also had glasses and was now fixing them up the arch of her nose. And fixing her hair over it.
I looked up to the top of the quad to see Jack staring at me. I diliberatley looked away and laughed with the girls. He was not getting me down this time.
