Court, Assignments, and Apartments

Hey guys, I appreciate the comments that some of you left. The comments are what really motivates me to type up this story. I am planning on writing a sequal. More info will be at the bottom of this chapter. Enjoy :)

RPOV

It's been a week since Dimitri and I had lunch with his family. Today is the day that we make our move to Court. All of our bigger stuff was already at court waiting to be unpacked. We just had to take our smaller stuff with us. Lissa and Christian were going to fly in a private jet to Court. Dimitri and I are going to drive, because Aleksandr is too small to fly at the moment.

Lissa and Christian had already taken off, we said our goodbyes earlier. Dimitri and I had just finished putting everything into the car. I had originally stolen the keys from him, but he took them back when I was putting Aleksandr in his car seat. Since Dimitri was driving, I was sitting in the back with Aleksandr.

On the road, Dimitri played his crappy 80s music. Aleksandr had fallen asleep as soon as the music came on. "You need to change the station, Comrade. This shitty music is so bad that it even bored Aleksandr to sleep." He laughed and shook his head.

"This music is great and you know it, Roza." I laughed. Suddenly, I had an idea. I unbuckled my seat belt and climbed into the front seat. I leaned over the console and started kissing Dimitr's neck. "You should sit back down, Roza," he said. The hitch in his breath said another story.

"I'll sit back down... but only if you change the damn radio station." I kissed up his neck a little and nibbled on his ear. He and I both knew that no matter how much we wanted to pull over, I can't have sex for at least another week. With this knowledge in mind, he leaned over and changed the radio to a station I like. I kissed his cheek and climbed back to my seat next to Aleksandr.

"You, Roza, are a huge tease."

"I know," I said smiling.

A few hour later...

We were finally at court. Luckily we left at first light, so we got here before it was dark. The last thing we wanted was to have a run in with Strigoi with a new baby. A guardian on duty greeted us at the front gates. "State your names and business."

Dimitri rolled down his window and answered. "Guardian Dimitri Belikov, Guardian Rose Hathaway, and our child Aleksandr. We are here for assignments." A buzzer went off and the gates open.

"Head straight for parking. A guardian will show you where you need to go."

"Thank you," Dimitri said. He put the car in gear and drove through the gates. We went straight to the parking garage. Like the guardian said, another one was there. Dimitri stepped out of the car and greeted the other guardian, while I unbuckled Aleksandr's car seat and took him out of the car.

"Someone will come and take your stuff to your apartment. I am taking you to guardian head quarters for your assignments." The guardian lead us across court to a huge building. I could tell by all the guardians going in and out the building that it was head quarters. The guy lead us down a few halls and into a big office. "Guardian Croft, Guradian Belikov and Guardian Hathaway are here for their assignments." Guardian Croft looked up from his computer and looked at us. He gestured toward the seat in front of his desk.

"Please sit. Guardian Smith you are dismissed. Thank you." Guardian Smith walked out of the room, closing the door as he went. "Guardian Belikov, I hear that you are here for reassignment and Guradian Hathaway is here for her assignment. Is that correct?"

"Yes, sir," we both responded.

He handed us each a folder. "Guardian Belikov, we've assigned you Christian Ozera as you requested. Guardian Hathaway, you have been assigned Princess Vasilissa Dragomir. You won't be guarding her officially until next June, by orders of the Princess. She has given you paid maternity leave for the year. I suggest you keep up with your training during this year,spend quality time with your kid, and look into day cares for when you do go back to guarding. Here are the keys to your apartment," he said while handing each of us a similar set of keys. "Do you have any questions?"

"No, sir," we said.

"Good. Guardian Belikov, your guarding schedule has been sent to you via email. I suggest you spend the rest of the day settling in before your guarding shifts start up."

Dimitri and I left Guardian Croft's office and headed straight for out apartment. Turns out our apartment building is one block from Lissa's mansion and right on the outskirts of 'down town' Court. We could walk to the stores and diners. Our apartment was on the top floor and we were the only apartment on the floor. We had gotten a bigger apartment, so we'd have an extra room for Aleksandr and a guest room. As we were told, all of the stuff we shipped out in advance and the stuff we brought with us on the car ride was here. All that there was to do was to unpack everything. Luckily, Dimitri had ordered all of the furniture and kitchenware in advance, so that would save a lot of time.

"Where do you want to start, Comrade?"

Dimitri looked at all of the boxes thinking. "How about the kitchen?"

"Let's get started then," I said smiling. Our new life was about to begin.

Alright guys, so next chapter will be the last. There will definitely be a huge cliff hanger. I am going to write a sequal, but I want to get some of your guys's opinions about it.
