'Chimera's...' Papa Stilinski muttered as he drew a red cross over a picture of Stacy. 'Two dead chimera's.' Stiles corrected him. 'And eight new ones.' Malia added. 'So... that's ten in all.' Stiles said. I raised one of my eyebrows. 'Nice calculating Sherlock.' I stated, he shot me a look and I shrugged innocently in response. 'Maybe eleven.' I heard the sheriff say and I frowned. I turned my head back towards him and my eyes widened and my jaw dropped slightly, he'd hung up a picture of Donovan. I felt Stiles' hand grab mine tightly. A wave of anxiety flew over me, from Stiles. I wish I could take it away. 'Our station tech guys confirmed something for me, they said both the holding cell lock and the camera's could've malfunctioned because of something electromagnetic.' The sheriff said and he reached to pick up the book. 'You said that these guys...'

'Dread doctors.' Malia cut in. 'Are we really calling them that?' Papa Stilinski asked with a look that said he really wasn't up for that. 'So they broke Donovan out?' Malia continued continued without answering the sheriff. 'It's how they got into Eichen isn't it?' I asked. 'Donovan's a chimera.' Malia said and she left her spot next to me and walked closer to the picture. I lowered my head and squeezed Stiles' hand slightly. 'Yeah but... Is he a failure like Lucas and Tracy?' The sheriff asked. I looked down when I felt Stiles remove his hand, he turned his back to us and walked away from us a little. 'If he is, he's probably dead.' Malia said. 'Not until I've seen a body.' Papa Stilinski replied. The sheriff turned around and frowned. 'You're uncharacteristically quiet.' He stated and I knew he was talking to Stiles. 'Sorry I... I'm just trying to think about it.' Stiles replied and he walked back over to us. 'These are all teenagers, right? So then shouldn't we be figuring out why these teenagers?' He asked. 'Yeah,' I added standing next to him. 'If the dread doctors went through all of that, burying them, killing them...' I said. 'Breaking one of them out of jail.' Stiles added. The sheriff shot us this look, a look I knew all too well. He's been giving us that look ever since we were kids. It's that look when he knew we were lying and backing each other up. My heartbeat fastened as I realized he might be on to us. I waited anxiously for him to say something. If he figured it out I'd have to be quick if I wanna take the blame. I wasn't planning on putting Stiles through this. Seeing his father's face when he tells him he killed a guy? No, that wasn't going to happen. 'Then it couldn't have been chosen at random.' He then said and I almost unnoticeably let my breathe escape. 'They had to have had something in common!' Malia said. 'Something that made them right, right for this experiment.' I said. 'Something that made them special.' Stiles added.

'My mom's book club usually has more wine...' Lydia said as we stood around the table which had the copies of the book placed on it. 'Oh well they probably also didn't read books that caused violent hallucinations.' Stiles replied with a shrug. 'That's why Malia and Sammy are here.' Scott said. 'So none of us go running into traffic.' Kira added. 'Tell me again why I can't read this thing?' I asked with a frown. 'Because we say so.' Scott and Stiles spoke at the same time. I rolled my eyes. 'We don't even know if reading the thing will actually work.' I sighed as I fell down into the sofa. 'It has to.' Lydia spoke quietly. 'What does that mean?' My brother asked her. 'I think I saw them during my surgery.' Lydia replied 'When I look at the cover of the book, it's almost like a...'

'A memory trying to surface.' Theo spoke. I frowned a little. I'd almost forgotten he was here. 'Isn't that what Valack wanted when he wrote it?' Kira asked. 'If they did something to me, I wanna know what it is.' Lydia said. And so they all began reading the book, except for Malia and I. Malia already read it and she was fine, well except the fact that she remembered, very vividly, the crash that killed her family. I kept myself busy, braiding the girl's hair as they read. But even that got boring after a while. Hours had passed and everybody was starting to have a difficult time keeping their eyes open. I was sat next to my brother and Kira was on our other side. Theo was sat in front of us. Although he's cute, really cute, I still don't trust him. Anyone who knows little of our pack, wouldn't even dare think of voluntarily joining it. 'Anyone feeling anything yet?' Scott suddenly asked. 'Tired.' Kira replied. 'Hungry.' Lydia said. 'Kinda horny.' I shrugged. 'I think he meant the book.' Theo said. 'You don't say?' I asked fake surprised. He sent me a look. 'Hey, this ain't fourth grade anymore sweetheart.' I grinned. 'It sure isn't.' He sighed. 'Hey, I'm president, I can say whatever I want.' I shrugged. He raised an eyebrow. 'The first day I came back you said this was a democracy.' He said. 'You did.' Lydia added. I shrugged. 'And now it's a Republic. With me as president. I'm slowly building up to a Dictatorship...' I told them. I was planning on going on about my plan for the dictatorship but I heard Malia ask Stiles about his shoulder. She said she could smell blood. Theo must've noticed my sudden change of mood because he slightly tilted his head to listen what Malia and Stiles were saying. Stiles' excuse was that the jeep died and that the hood fell on it. I had to step in and back him up. 'Hey Malia!' I called. 'If he's whining about his shoulder tell him it's his own damn fault and that he should get rid of that jeep!' I called. I saw Theo relax his muscles and return in his original position. I don't know what that was about but I saved the day. 'You're not giving up are you?' I heard Scott ask next to me. I turned to see Kira had the book placed on her lap, her head tilted back a little and her eyes closed. 'I'm just resting my eyes.' She replied quietly and then reached over to turn off the light.

If I'd known school was this much work I would've just never gone to school in the first place. But of course we need to money to live and to survive and without school you can't make money. That's quite fucked up. So is Theo, but I still love him oops I'm a sinner
