There are only about 2 more chapters left :( But! They're pretty lengthy. But don't forget this was just a school project, so it had to be short.

New York was colder than when we left. The streets of Bushwick were busy with little kids and pedestrians crossing the street every 30 seconds. I had never left Bushwick really, but I did know where Central Park was. It's kinda hard to miss, in a place like this.

"Okay so where again is this building?" Jake asked once we got closer and closer to Central Park.

"He said somewhere tall? With something to do with looking over Central Park." I was honestly confused, even if it was just hours previous. "Well let's just lookup tall building near Central Park."

"Like that's gonna work," Jake said sarcastically.

"Well now that we're here, look for big buildings." I said emphasizing the 'big'.

We looked around the surrounding area, there were a few very tall buildings. But one specifically caught my eye, it was all glass over 40 floors high.

"That one," I said pointing to it.

We started walking towards it once Jake agreed to going there, being the only tall building directly in front of Central Park.

The building had a giant sign that said "PIERCE INC."

"Well obviously this is it," I exclaimed

We walked in, instantly sensing danger. Don't ask me how, we just did. Walking up to the front desk there was a young looking intern sitting, working the computer. "Do you have an appointment?" She asked, voice sharp and right to the point.

"Um, no?" I said confused, who was this man anyways. Besides being a 'JIT' and a gang boss. "My name is Sebastian Jacobs, and this is um- Jake White."

"Oh, it's you two." She sneered. "First elevator on your left when you walk down that hallway. Push 85. Oh and hurry up, John doesn't like waiting." With that she went back to typing on the computer.

We quickly followed her instructions all the way up to his office. From the little window we saw once we reached the top floor, you could see everything. Though there were larger skyscrapers around us, this one was pretty big.

"Come in," Someone yelled from the inside of the room, after I knocked.

Walking into the room, I saw him sitting there in his perfectly appointed room. Everything crisp and neat, and way to perfect for ones office. Something seemed off, but I couldn't quite figure out what.

Not knowing what to do, I started to use my powers. Lifting him out of his seat and slamming him into the desk. "Oh," he said chuckling a little. "You thought that would hurt?"

With that he disappeared, out of sight. Like he vanished into the thin air. "You never told me he had invisibility pow-" But I was quickly cut off when something slammed me into the glass windows. But it didn't break. 'Bullet proof windows' I thought to myself. Pulling myself back up, I looked around only to see Jake in the air choking.

Running over I stared at Jake, seething. Without noticing what I was doing I had hypnotized Jake, saying 1 word that changed everything. "Attack." I dropped my gaze to the floor, letting him return back to normal.

The games have changed, I thought to myself.

I quickly looked around the room, seeing Jake still struggling to get out of the grip that was tight around his neck. I ran over pushing the invisible force, which was Jonathan, off of him. That only made Jonathan mad. He came back, from being invisible. Swinging at me, punching me hard. Any and everywhere he could reach.

I noticed Jake from the corner of my eye, mouthing something "He's also a shapeshifter!"

"Oh wow, that's amazing!" I thought to myself.

Charging forward, I stopped midway; because he wasn't there anymore. I started to hit and attack the air, hoping he was in front of me. Nope, he wasn't there. John came up behind me and threw me at the glass again. Which is when I noticed the small latch, that would open the window. "Who on earth possibly has a latch that can open a window on the 85th floor?!" I yelled at Jake. "This idiot." He yelled back.

Opening the window I motioned to Jake who was currently being pinned up against the wall. He nodded and pushed John off of him, so that he came flying back to me. I was seething by this point, I had no clue why. But I knew one thing, he was hurting people and families. And most importantly Jake.

I let John hurdle towards the window, hypnotizing him before anything else could happen to him; I asked him one question. "Is there anything else you needed to tell me?" I demanded. I didn't know why, but felt that it was useful to know.

"Jokes on you," he sneered. "There are 3 bombs scattered around each floor. Including this one. Each one is set to go off in," he glanced at the clock. "3 minutes." With that I pushed him out the window, ending it all.

"Jake! He seemed to have planned his own death! That makes no sense at all. Hurry up we have 2 minutes to find 3 bombs on this floor and an escape route! Hurry up! Let's go!" I yelled at Jake, who seemed to have been in a haze. Until I started to yell at him.

We started running around frantically, "Where is the bomb?" then suddenly I heard "60...59...58..."

"I found a parachute!" I heard Jake yell.

"How many?!" I asked, as he said "Only 1 of them."

"Here," I yelled, "Take it. I'll be fine. Go back to Bushwick, I have to warn the people in the building about the other bombs. Maybe 1-10 will survive if they're near the exit." He rushed out.

"No!" Jake exclaimed "Are you crazy?! I can't and won't just leave you here in this building. Come with me? Please. Just hang onto my back or something."

"No," I said once again, a little calmer. "Take it, look you have... 30 seconds. Go while you can, I'll find a way out of here."

I threw the parachute at him, as he put it on. Standing in the window seal as I looked up at him giving him a thumbs up, waving. And he jumped, not making any noise; as he hurtled down at 85 story building. I saw him pull the parachute, then the crash came. The whole top floor gone.
