What do you mean that people don't use verbose prose to express their admiration for another human in "real life"?!
The issue I have come to accept in life is this: Writers' use of language to express emotions is drastically different from the average person.
It doesn't even matter what kind of emotion it is. I will come up with a million poetic ways to say I liked a certain song or that I like the color yellow or that I hate dishonesty.
I will tell you that I am enchanted by the soul of a human to an acute severity when really I could say "yeah they're cool I guess". But that's not enough, I say!!
If I'm using the language I'm using, it is because this is how my emotions translate verbally to me and I want you to understand what I am feeling.
I don't need you to roll your eyes at me or guffaw at my apparent lunacy. Just try to understand the reason behind my diction. There's usually a bigger emotive connection to it than just dramatic effect.
Do any of you experience this?
