Chapter Seven (Please read Author's Note :D)

A/N: I want to start this off by saying how sorry I am. I feel so so bad that I haven't updated for months! I know this is a bit late but, Merry Christmas if you celebrate it and Happy New Year! I wish the best for every single one of you reading this story for 2016 and hope you have an amazing year. At the end of last year I was extremely busy with school. It was coming to the last weeks of the year and I had lots of assignments to do and complete. Then came the last week of school. That was the week that I was graduating Year 7; and where I live that's a pretty big deal. This year I'm going into Year 8 which is High School. I'm going to be so busy but I really hope I still have time for this book. There is no way I am going to quit writing this book. I am on holidays now, meaning I do have time to write. I have actually been on holidays for several weeks now but I haven't had a laptop because the laptop that I was previously using was a school laptop. But I finally have a laptop! Yay! I hope you all continue to read this book and enjoy it. As I haven't updated this book for ages (and have been getting a lot of requests to do so, I must say) I have decided to do a Q and A! Please ask as many questions as you'd like and I will answer most of them! If you ask private questions, I won't answer them publicly sorry. (Wow that's a long author's note!)

I wake up with a really great feeling. Last night was one of the best nights I have experienced. Even the day was amazing. I got adopted by two of the nicest and genuine people on earth and I got to meet my new family! Of course I miss my old family but that's in the past now. I need to think about my future and enjoy every part of my family because I never know when it'll all end.

As you know, today is the day I'm going shopping for school which starts tomorrow! Don't get me wrong, I'm nervous, but I'm also really excited for a fresh and new start. "Are you ready Alex?" I hear Zoe, or should I say mum, call from down stairs. "Nearly!" I say back. I quickly put my hair in a messy bun then add a head band to my hair. I put my favourite vans on, grab my purse and walk downstairs. "All ready!" I say walking into the kitchen.

All three of us make our way to the car. "What shops are we going to?" I ask as I click my seatbelt in and Zoe starts the car (Yes, Alfie still does not have his license). "What every shops you want!" Zoe says. "Cool!" I say smiling and start looking out the window. I go onto my phone and check Instagram. I scroll down my feed and like and comment on some photos. In about 10 minutes we have arrived at the Mall. "Should we get something to drink first?" Alfie asks. "Sounds great!"

After we've got our drinks we go and start the shopping. "I'm going to go and get some furniture for my office, so I'll see you guys later." Alfie says, giving Zoe and I a kiss on both of our heads. "Okay, see you soon!" Zoe says as Zoe and I go the opposite way to Alfie. "Do you want to look at makeup?" Zoe asks. "I'm actually not really into makeup, sorry." I say. "That's fine! I actually didn't start wearing makeup till I was about 15." Zoe says understandingly.

About 2 hours later we meet up with Alfie at Nandos. "How did it go ladies?" Alfie asks us. "Really well!" I answer. "So well!" Zoe answers. "That's good! Shall we get some lunch now?" Alfie asks. "Sounds good. I'm starving!" I say. "So am I!" Zoe says. We walk into Nandos and get a table outside. We order our food and then talk while we wait. "Is it okay if we film a video with you tonight about the adoption, Alex?" Alfie asks. "Of course! I'd love to!" I say smiling. "Cool." Alfie says.

10 minutes later our food arrives. I instantly start eating because I'm so hungry. 20 minutes later we've all finished our meals and decide to leave Nandos. We walk out of Nandos and into the carpark. "Now where did we park?" Zoe says. "I think it was in row A." I say. "There it is!" Zoe says pointing to it. "Beat you to the car Alex!" Alfie starts running to the car. I follow him and he fake trips. I end up beating him. "No fair! I tripped!" He says coming towards me and picking me up. He puts me over his shoulder so I'm upside down. "Come on you two, get in the car." Zoe says laughing.

We arrive home and unpack all the shopping we did. I get my bags and put them in my room. I put my outfits in my wardrobe and put all the stationary and books we bought in a bag and take them back downstairs. Zoe helps me cover my books and label my stationary while Alfie puts the shopping away. About 20 minutes later all my books and stationary are labelled. I put them back in the shopping bag and bring them upstairs. I get my new pencil case I bought today and put all the stationary in it. I then put all of my books and my pencil case in my school bag that I also bought today.

After that is all done I lay out my school uniform, socks and shoes. I decide that I will have my shower tonight so I don't have to get up earlier tomorrow morning. "Alex! Dinner is ready!" I hear Alfie call downstairs. I go down the stairs and into the dining room. "You haven't got changed yet?" Zoe asks. "Nope. But I'm going to have a shower after dinner." I say sitting at the table. Alfie places a plate of sausages and mash potato with a side of vegetables. "Thank you guys. I have had such an amazing day today and can't wait to have more." I say smiling. "No problem!" Alfie says. "We're so glad to have you here!" Zoe says.

When we've all finished eating, I scrape my plate and then put it in the dishwasher along with my glass. Should we film the video now?" I ask washing my hands. "Sure! I'll go set up!" Alfie says while he exits the room. "Do you want me to dry the dishes?" I ask Zoe who starts to wash some of the bigger pots that don't fit in the dishwasher. "Thanks!" Zoe says and I smile starting to dry the dishes. After about 10 minutes Alfie comes into the kitchen. "All set up!" Alfie says.

When we finish the video, Zoe and Alfie start editing the video so they can upload it tonight at the same time. "I'll go have my shower now and then will come back down." I say then leaving and making my way upstairs. I grab my pyjamas and my robe and take it into the bathroom and get into the shower. When I'm done I put on my pyjamas and then my robe on top. I brush my hair and then make my way downstairs.

"All edited?" I ask as I walk into the living room. "Yep!" Zoe says. "And are ready to upload!" Alfie adds on. "Cool!" I say excitedly. "Would you like to press upload?" Zoe asks me. "Sure!" I say smiling. "3, 2, 1!" Alfie says as I press the button on both Zoe and Alfie's computer. Zoe and Alfie both get ready to upload another video which is footage over the past few weeks when I've seen them. They would've uploaded earlier but none of the viewers knew about me.

"I am so excited to see the response from the two videos but it's getting late and it's my first day tomorrow! So I'll see you guys in the morning!" I say saying goodnight to Zoe and Alfie. I make my way up the stairs and into my room. I take my robe off and hang it on the door. I go into the bathroom and tie my hair back so I can wash my face. I brush my teeth too and then brush my hair again before putting it into a messy bun. I turn off the lights in my bathroom and bedroom and then get under the covers. I put my phone and laptop on charge and then slowly drift off to sleep.
