First of all, thanks to everyone who participated in my self-esteem contest! I had a hard time choosing the final winner, all the entries were beautifully written and are all truly inspiring for a girls self-esteem! :)
But there does have to be one winner. The winner of my self-esteem contest for girls is.....
*Drumroll*
Congratulations to MalecCarcy1, the winner of my writing contest!
Her short story she wrote for it, about a girl on the streets, without a home, meets a guy who wants to bring her to his family's house and care for her. She is afraid to accept his offer, to feel strong and courageous enough of herself to say "yes," and to tell herself she is brave enough to open a new door in her life. What happens next is two-fold, and in the end, the author provides a different, alternate ending to the story. She tells what happens if the girl had said yes, and if she had said no.
Its wonderfully-written, and reminds all girls, that being brave enough to say "yes" sometimes, to try new things, do the unexpected, we need to feel good about ourselves. What a wonderful, positive message MalecCarcy1 brought out in her self-esteem story! Everyone, please give MalecCarcy1 a virtual high-five, read her story, and let me and her know what you think of it after you read it ;)
MalecCarcy1 will receive 5 honest, helpful comments on a story of her choice, plus 15 votes as a prize for winning the self-esteem writing contest! :)
Congratulations to MalecCarcy1!! Woo hoo!!! :D
