Paige's POV
He has a girlfriend?! I walked up to my room and locked the door as I threw my clothes in the laundry hamper. I untied my bikini and jumped in the shower. How could I be so stupid? I actually thought he might have went for me. I mean his girlfriend is actually really pretty and I can tell they both really like each other. But now I have to spend two weeks here watching these two be all cuddled up next to each other. Great. I groaned as I finished washing my body and hair. I jumped out and wrapped a towel around myself.
I walked over to wardrobe and pulled out a plain white t-shirt and oversized brown cardigan. I walked over to my dresser and just pulled out some high waisted short were still at the beach. s. I slipped the outfit on and went to my bed to grab my phone. I put the password in and sent a quick text to my mom to tell her I was gonna go out to the hangout downtown.
When we come here I always go to the hangout at night. There's always cute boys who hit on me. Perfect timing considering I can't have who I want. I shake any trace of liking Nathan out of my head. I slipped on some white toms. I grabbed my bag and shut the light off in my room. I heard the boys talking downstairs. I wish they were still at the beach so I could go out without them tagging along.
"Hey Paige why'd you run off so fast from the beach earlier?" I turned on my heel to see Tom talking to me. "I decided to come get ready I'm going out with some friends tonight. But I'm sure you guys will have fun here without me." I said smiling and waving goodbye. "Wait Paige theres someone I want you to meet" Nathan said running up to me with that girl attached to him. "Hi I'm Kelsey" The girl politely pulling me into a hug. I smiled, at least she's not mean. I hugged her back and we said our googbyes and I finally walked out of that house.
I entered the hangout and spotted an open table in the corner I walked over to it and sat down. I ordered a redbull. I looked around and spotted a group of five boys staring. There was one really cute boys caught my stare and I winked at him. He winked back and excused himself. He made his way over to me he sat down across from me and smiled. "Hi my name is Jake" I smiled at him. "Nice to meet you Jake". "Aren't you gonna tell me your name?" He asked with curiosity.
"My name is Paige" I blushed. We talked about our lives and I found out he lives in Texas. I told him how long we're staying and it turns out he's staying for that long too. I look over at my phone and see that we've spent 4 hours here talking. It's one in the morning and we look around everyone's still here. "I should probably head back to my condo" I got my stuff together and threw some cash on the table. Jake jumped up and offered to walk me home. "Thanks again Jake. You really don't have to. i'm sure your friends want you there." I looked up at him. He laughed "Paige I wouldn't offer if I didn't want to" I gave in and we began the 15 minute walk back to the beach. We reached my condo and I pulled out the key.
"Thanks again Jake" I smiled and he walked away I walked into the condo. I saw all the lights were off. I took my shoes off and tried to tiptoe upstairs. I was just about to my room when I heard the door behind me open. It was Jay "Paige? Where have you been?" He asked sleep evident in his eyes.
"I was just hanging out with some friends. Sorry for waking you" I said goodnight to him and walked into my room. I changed and slipped into my bed. I drifted off to a very deep sleep.
I woke up to a silent house. I turned over and saw the clock read two. Wow I really overslept. I got up brushed my hair and put it into a messy pony tail. I slipped a bikini on and a dress type cover up. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a banana. I walked onto the back patio and took my dress off and laid down on one of the tanning chairs. I was laying down relaxing when I heard a girl giggling. I looked over and saw Nathan and Kelsey chasing eachother around the beach. I was watching as he tackled her and tickled her. Then it turned into a kissing sesh. I pulled out my phone and saw Jake had texted me. 'hey Paige I had fun last night. Wanna maybe do something today with me and my friends?' I smiled to myself. I had totally forgot that Maggie arrived today! She couldn't fly with us yesterday because she couldn't take off work. I sent a text back to Jake 'Sure! Is it cool if my friend Maggie tags along? She's a cutie:)' I hit send and looked up to see Nathan giving Kelsey a piggy back ride. 'Sure! But i'm sure she's not as cute as you:)' I got up and went to the beach to say hi to the boys.
"Hi boys" they turned around and all waved back. I sat down next to them and we started talking about going to some amusement park tomorrow. "Paige would you like to maybe go shopping later on today? Just us two girls?" Kelsey asked as she was sat on Nathans lap. "Sorry but no. I already made some plans with some other boys. But I'm sure Nathan would love to go with you" I smiled and looked at the boys as they were shocked that I was so sassy. I groaned and got up to get ready for Maggie's arrival. As I entered the house I went to my balcony and watched as the boys were talking to Kelsey as she was now crying. I guess I didn't have a reason to be so rude. Oh well I'll apologize later. I put on a pair of black shorts with a black crop top that had some sort of print on the collar.
I checked on the boys one last time before leaving for the airport. They weren't paying attention to Nathan and Kelsey as they were touching foreheads and he kissed her cheek. I couldn't help but wish that was me.
