Paige's POV
The two weeks in Florida flew by and now we were on our way home. We arrived back at my house and I said goodbye to Maggie as she had to go home. Her and that Noah boy had hit things off. They practically spent every day we were there together. Nathan was different after our talk on the beach. He was so nice and we were practically best friends now.
I told him everything. From what happened with Luke to every last detail about my life. And he told me the same. I may have left out the part of me falling for him. But what he doesn't know wont hurt him right now.
"Hey Nath" I said running upstairs and into the game room. I jumped on him and he grunted. I giggled to myself.
"Geez Paige, lay off the steak. You weigh more than Max over there" He winked at me.
"I'm hurt Nathan, I really am." I said sitting down on the couch watching whatever was on the screen. Nathan was texting so I assumed it was Kelsey. "Ooooh baby, I love you so much. I just wanna see you" I mocked in a girly voice. All the boys laughed except Nathan who was giving me the death glare. I got up and screamed. Right then Nathan jumped off the couch and chased after me. I ran into my room and tried to close the door but Nathan stuck his phone in the door. I ran and jumped out my balcony and climbed over the rail and hid behind the pole. Nathan stuck his head around the corner to see if I was out here. I laughed to myself. I jumped back over the rail and saw Nathan trying to search my closet. I went up behind him and pushed him. 'Booo" I screamed as he fell to the ground. I laughed so hard I fell over.
Nathan came and sat on top of me tickling me. "Okay okay. I'm sorry Nathan" He smiled and offered me a piggy back ride. We were walking down the stairs. And we were still laughing as we replayed Nathans fall. Nathan stopped and dropped me. "Ouch so much for trusting you" I laughed but Nathan stayed quiet. "Kelsey baby what are you doing here?" He asked kinda nervous. I walked around and waved silently to Kelsey. "I came to see my boyfriend but I guess I interrupted something more important" Kelsey said crossing her hands. She moaned and walked out of the house. I tried to stop him but he wiggled out of my grasp. "Stop Paige you've done enough don't you think?" He was angry. He just shouted at me. I backed away and ran upstairs. I shut my door and walked over to my window and saw Nathan and Kelsey fighting. I over heard part of it.
"Kel I love you not her. Paige means nothing to me. Were just staying here because her mom is our manager. We cant get on her bad side." Nathan said pleading with Kelsey. Kelsey was crying. "I see the way you look at eachother. There's something deeper than just that Nathan. I'm sorry but I don't think this is going to work out anymore." Nathan started bawling as Kelsey got in her car and drove off. I saw Nathan turn around and see me in the window. The look in his eyes showed me he knew I overheard their conversation. "Paige... I didn't mean it" I just shrugged my shoulders and walked over to my bed. I curled into a ball and just laid there.
I locked my door and stayed in my room for the rest of the night not listening to anyone as they knocked on my door. I didn't care. It sucks to hear something like that and right now I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts.
