Paige's POV
The boys and I first concert was tonight. We were sitting in the dressing room as it had just ended. It felt great to be on stage jumping around and the crowd seemed to really like me. I was sitting on the couch checking my twitter while the boys were fooling around. Nathan hasn't really been himself since our talk. He hasn't tried to talk to me and I haven't tried to talk to him. Which isn't really setting nicely in my tummy. I haven't seen Kelsey around and Kelsey and Nareesha tell me Nathan has finally dumped her for good.
The boys snapped me out of my thoughts by telling me they were going out for dinner. I just wanted to go home and get out of this thick hair and makeup.
"I think I'm going to head home too lads" I looked over and saw Nathan getting his stuff together.
The car ride home was super tense. No one spoke a word. When we got home I groaned as I remembered Nathan and I share a bathroom. I ran upstairs to make sure I got in first. I locked all the doors making sure he didn't try to come in. "At least hurry Paige" I heard him say from his bedroom.
"No promises" I said with a big smile on my face, this was the first thing he's said to me in at least 2 weeks. After my shower I went into my bedroom and grabbed a pair of nike pros and just a regular t-shirt. I heard the shower running so I guess Nathan has started his shower. I went downstairs and made some tea. There was enough left over so I made Nathan a cup. I went upstairs and he was out of the shower sitting on his bed topless. I handed him the tea. I couldn't help but stare.
"Hey Paige, you going to stop staring?" He chuckled to himself. I rolled my eyes and went to my window seat. Nathan came in at one point and sat next to me.
"Paige... I've been thinking about what you said and I just want you to know how sorry I am for breaking our promise and for ignoring you. I was stupid to let you go, you're so incredibly beautiful and I just wish I would've realized this before it was too late. But I was just wondering if maybe.... You'd be my girlfriend. I'm ready to show you how much I can care for you" I looked into his eyes and saw a glimmer of hope. I couldn't believe this! He just asked me out.
"Yes, I'll be your girlfriend." He smiled at me and pulled me into his lap. He pushed his forehead on mine and our noses brushed. I finally felt his soft lips on mine. It was the best moment I've ever experienced.
I heard my phone vibrating so I went to check it, it was a text from my mom.
'Hey darling, um I'm so sorry to have to deliver this news but little Lucy was just hit by a car'
I felt tears well up in my eyes. My grandpa had got me those puppies before he died. He wanted me to have something I could keep and play with. Nathan came over and put his arms around me. He read the text and hugged me tighter. I just sat there while he played with my hair and kept kissing my forehead.
"Paige, I can take you home for a couple days" I looked up at him and just nodded. I laid down and he gave me a kiss on the cheek. Before he left the room I called his name.
"Would you stay with me" I said between sobs. He smiled and jumped in bed with me. He pulled me into him and I fell asleep while he sang Gold Forever.
