Paige's POV
I had just picked Maggie up from the airport and told her how some boys invited us over. We just reached Jakes house and I knocked on the door. A boy with curly blonde hair answered the door. Maggie was blushing like crazy from next to me. Ok so that'll be her boy while were here. "Hi I'm Noah" The boy said as he opened the door further so we could walk in. He led us to the living room where Jake and another boy were sat. I walked over and sat next to Jake and he said hi and kissed me on the cheek. I blushed and looked over to the other boy whose name I didn't know yet.
"Are you gonna introduce me to your other friend? Or are you gonna continue to be rude?" I laughed as Jake rolled his eye. "This is levi. His girlfriend should be here any second. "I'm Paige and this is my friend Maggie" We both said hi to Levi and I looked over to see Noah and Maggie talking. He must have said something funny because she was laughing pretty hard. "So what are we gonna do today?" I looked over and saw Jake staring at me. His eyes were beautiful they were like a deep shade of blue that you just wanted to swim in. His hair was brown and normal. No gel and no curls. He had demples. Which I thought was super adorable. "We can just relax if that's okay with you guys" I said as I slipped my shoes off and got comfortable. Jake laughed and laid back too. "That's perfectly fine with us"
We picked out some movies to watch and made some snacks. Levi wasn't in the mood for movies so he took his girlfriend out to the beach and lunch. Jake and I were laying on the couch cuddling and Maggie was sitting in Noah's lap on the recliner. We were on our fourth movie when I drifted off to sleep. Jake smelt so nice. I remember how good Nathan smells. I wonder what it would feel like to be cuddling like this with him.
I woke up and looked around. The others were asleep too. Only Jake was no where in sight. I got up and checked my phone. I saw I had like 6 messages from each boy. But what shocked me was that Nathan had called me like 20 times. Oh well it's already pretty late. Their probably all already asleep. I was wondering around the house just looking at random things when I felt breeze I looked over and noticed a door open. It led to the backyard. I walked out and saw Jake sitting in a chair just staring at the sky. I went and sat in a chair next to him.
"Hey stranger" I said as I nudged his arm. He smiled at me.
"Hello hottie" I smiled back. I don't really like being called hot or sexy. I prefer to be called beautiful.
"Why are you still up?" I asked as I turned to look at the sky aswell.
"I could ask you the same thing" He said laughing.
"Well I came to look for you"
"I couldn't sleep." He answered. He looked down like something was bothering him.
"What's wrong?" I asked scooting a little closer to him
"It's just. I really like you don't get me wrong but when we were cuddling earlier I didn't feel a spark. I always thought I'd meet my dream girl and I'd feel this spark. But I just didn't"
I looked into his eyes. "Don't feel bad because I'm not your dream girl. Your gonna meet someone someday and you will feel that spark. I promise. But thank you for hanging out with me these last two days. I had a lot of fun" I smiled and hugged him. I grabbed my shoes and decided I'd just come get Maggie in the morning. I was walking down the beach letting the waves roll in between my toes. I sat down and looked out over the ocean. It was beautiful. I began to think about Nathan and what Jake had said.
When I saw Nathan I felt that spark and I hadn't even touched him. I can't help but want him.
Nathan's POV
I couldn't really sleep. I was worried about Paige she hadn't answered her phone and it was really late. Kelsey had to leave later this day because she had further business arrangements back home. Which I understand, I'm just glad I got to spend two days with her. I was walking down the sand just thinking about life. When I saw a small figure sitting in the beach just letting the waves roll up to her. Her hair was long and it was blowing in the wind. I got closer and noticed it was Paige. I almost walked up to her but I hesitated at first. I wanted to stare for a while longer. She truly is beautiful.
I finally walked up and sat down next to her. She looked at me and instantly smiled. "Hello beautiful girl" I said as I put my arm over her shoulder. Her eyes began to glow and she just blushed. We didn't say anything for a while. Which was okay. it wasn't awkward. Finally she spoke.
"I'm sorry for the way I treated Kelsey." She said not really looking at me. "Don't be sorry, you don't know her we don't expect you to just like people because we do"
"You really love her don't you?" She asked me looking me into the eyes this time. I saw something strange in her eyes. Almost like they were sad or hopeful?
"More than anything. She's always been here for me. I couldn't imagine my life without her honestly." I saw Paige look away. She shimmed my hand off her shoulder. She stood up and began to walk away. I ran after her.
"Paige whats wrong?" I stopped her by grabbing her wrist. "Nothings wrong I'm just really tired" She said with the fakest smile. She walked into the house and went to bed I'm assuming. I plopped down on the sand. Why am I feeling strange things whenever I'm around her. I seriously haven't ever felt this way so I have no idea what it is I'm feeling.
