The good ol' sun rays woke me up this morning, their shine in my eye wasn't too pleasing though.

I stretch in the small space I have.

"Earan, you're awake!!"

Sarah shouted in my ears.

I ring my index finger in my left ear, I felt that she must've broken my eardrum.

"What the hell dude?! Chill!"

I groaned.

"We're almost there! I can't contain my excitement any longer!"

"What?! No way?!"

"Only one more hour!"

She squealed.

"Ugh. I don't wanna unpack!"

Dylan complained.

"What are you bitching about? You're probably just going to beg us to unpack all your crap anyways."

Dylan was my best friend, clearly I knew him well enough.

My eyelids felt heavy, trying to fight the urge of falling back to sleep.

"Guys, we seriously need to kill time right now!"

Sarah was a little too excited, I think.

I've never seen her act in such manner before.

"I don't know about you guys, but I need to eat right now."

"Earan, you eat like a pregnant woman.

Are you so sure there's nothing up your sleeves?"

Dylan joked.

Ed was the silent type.

Although he seemed to know me well enough, only being the truck driver.

He pulled into a small diner.

"Woo hoo!"

I jumped right out of the truck.

I paused, taking a whiff of the air.

The aroma was so pristine.

It took me back to the time where either my mother or father would cook up breakfast on weekend mornings.

The scent of bacon, eggs and hashbrowns caused me to cry.

I noticed through my blurry eyes, people began to stare at me awkwardly.

"God, my hair looks li-

Earan? Earan?!"

I stood stiff as Sarah quickly came to hug me, Dylan joining in afterwards.

"What is it?"

I could hear them, but if I say anything, I know it would make me cry even more.

"It.. M-m-makes me.."

I choaked up.

I climbed back into the truck, coiled up and continued to have my crying session.

Sarah and Dylan stood where I left them for a while, just talking.

I guess they're about me, but I couldn't hear them due to my sobbing.

I finally calmed myself down after 10 minutes.

I thought about Josh.

How he said he knew my background, and also how he said to call when I'm there.
