After the town house incident

Eight

Elliot sat in the chair and just looks at her.
"Well?" She asks tilting her head to the right.
"Liv.. You probably won't believe me. And it's okay if you don't feel the same way," he says
Her heart sinks and her stomach turns.
"El, what are you saying?" She asks
"I'm saying, that I meant what I said all those years ago. I really did. And I still mean it" he replies
"What are you talking about?" She asks like she doesn't remember.
"I love you" he says quickly.
She knew he was going to say that. And she kind of wanted him to say that.
"Oh" she says looking down
"I'm sorry I shouldn't of said anything. I'll leave now" he says standing up.
He wishes she had stopped him, but she didn't, so he left.
Elliot left the precinct straight away and goes home.

Olivia walks out of her office and walks into the bull pen.
"Where's Elliot?" She asks
"He left, about, half an hour ago" Finn replies
"Oh" she says disappointedly
"Hey liv, are you ready?" Tucker says walking in the squad room.
"Erm. Yeah give me a minute" she says walking back into her office.
"What does she have to be ready for?" Finn asks with a suspicious smile.
"We are going out for some food" he replies with a smug smile.
Olivia walks out of her office with her coat and bag.
"Ready?" He asks
"Yeah" she says
They walk down to his car. He opens the door for her and took her hand and helped her into the car.
She had always appreciated a gentleman.
All she could think about , the whole way to the diner, was what Elliot had said to her. But she was determined to not let it ruin her meal with Ed.

They sit down at their table and order their food.
"So what did you want to talk to me about? It seemed important" she says
"I erm.. I need to tell you something" he says
"Yeah?" She says with her famous smile
"Yeah...I erm... I was wondering if you would like to go out to dinner with me... Some time?" He says shyly
"What are we doing now?" She smiles with a faint laugh
"No I mean... Like a.. Date.. If you want?" He says hanging his head, almost in shame.
"Erm... Ed. I don't really know what to say" she replies
"Ha! That's a first!" He laughs
She playfully punches his arm.
"So?" He asks
"I erm... Can I think about it?" She asks
"Oh of course, please don't feel like you need to, just to spare my feelings. It's okay if you say no" he says
"Okay. I'll think about it" she says.
The waitress brings them their meals.
They eat and exchange small talk.
When they had finish, they call the waitress for the bill. Olivia gets her wallet out of her purse but Ed insists on paying.
They walk to the car and Ed opens the door and helps her in again.
She really appreciates a gentleman.
She checks her watch and realises that it is 7:00 already! Then she thinks, they were supposed to be going out for lunch but didn't leave until 5:30!
"Do you want me to take you back to your apartment?" He asks.
"Erm, yeah please" she takes out her phone.

Hey Lucy. Could you please bring Noah home. I really owe you!

Tucker pulls up at Liv's apartment and they walk up the stairs. They walk inside and liv goes straight to the kitchen.
"Do you want a drink?" She asks
"Yeah please" he replies
She holds up a bottle of vodka and a can of beer. She raises her eyebrow.
"Vodka" they say in unison.
She pours the drinks and hands him one.

Knock knock..
Lucy and Noah.
She thought.
She opens the door.
"Elliot!" She says in surprise.
