Elliot's thoughts.
I can't believe what I am hearing. I can't believe this happened to her. And I want there to help her. I stupidly left. I should of sorted things between us. I hurt her and I didn't even say sorry. I just ran away from my problems.

"Liv...I..I'm so sorry.." He didn't really know what to say.
"Don't be. Elliot why are you back here?" She asks.
"Because this happened. I needed to come back to make sure you were okay. And I needed to make sure we were okay" he says tilting his head to the left.
"I'm fine.. Well I will be.. I.. Erm.. How long are you back for?" She asks. She doesn't know how to get the words out.
"For good" he whispers.
"Oh.." She looks away from him. She feels her eyes flooding with tears.
"Liv.. I feel like I need to explain" he says
"No.. You don't" she snaps
"Yes! I do!"
She turns her head and looks at him. She stairs him dead in the eye.
"Liv.. I know I hurt you. But you know that I didn't mean to. And you know that I had to do what I had to" he says
"No you didn't!? Really, did you?! Did you really have to tell me that when you divorce Kathy you would move in with me. You would be with me. Then you sleep with me and tell me you love me!? And want to spend the rest of your life with me?! And then leave me?! Did you really have to do that?" She yells
"Liv I had to leave!" He yells back
"You could of stayed in touch. Every phone call, every text. You never replied. You blanked me out of your life! Why?" Her voice cracks and she lets her tears spill down her cheeks.
"B..because I couldn't live with myself when I shot that girl!" He stutters
"Yeah? But why did you ignore me?"
"I..I don't know. I'm sorry"
"You're sorry?! Are you kidding me?! You're sorry?! Okay. I think you are done now Elliot please leave" she yells
"No Liv not until we have sorted this!"
"There is nothing to sort. I'm fine. Please get out!" She yells, but her voice cracks again as the tears fall rapidly like a waterfall down her bruised face.
"But you aren't fine! I hurt you and I am so sorry. You can't ever know how sorry I am for hurting you. I hate myself for it. I will regret it for the rest of my days" he says standing up. He walks to the door and leaves.

A/N
Sorry for any confusion. Olivia doesn't get shot in the ACTUAL episode "townhouse incident". And Elliot left because he shot the girl in the precinct. Nothing happened between Liv and el on the show. Unfortunately. But everything that Lewis did actually happened on the show.
