Light Of My Life (Byakuya Kuchiki love story)

Chapter 5:Legend Turned Prophecy.

Byakuya's POV:
I returned to squad one's barracks with Rukia, Renji, and Ichigo in tow.  The Head Captain had chairs ready for us when we got there and told us to sit.  I sat and he opened his eyes to look at all of us.  "Which legend do you have in mind about the young lady?"  He asked.  "The one about a child being born of a Quincy and a Soul Reaper.  But it ties in with another legend as well, so it is a prophecy."  He was silent, thinking this through, then nodded at me to proceed.

"Once every ten-thousand years, a child is born with the strongest spiritual pressure in all the world.  This child is born of a Quincy and a Soul Reaper every one hundred-thousand years.  In the end, she will be our salvation or our destruction."  The Head Captain sat and thought for a while.  He seemed to be deep in thought before he broke his thought and looked at us.  "That legend is now a true prophecy, but we don't know the whole prophecy.  Follow me."  He got up and motioned us up.  We got up and followed him down to the lowest level of the squad one barracks...the library.  "Spread out, find a book that says "prophecy of salvation or destruction" and call the rest of us."  He explained.  We spread out to look, I took the far right, Renji took the middle left, Rukia searched the middle right, and the Head Captain told the far left.

'Let's see here.  Legend, prophecy, legend turned prophecy, bingo.'  I pulled the book out and looked at it.  The title said "Child Born of a Quincy and Soul Reaper, our salvation or our destruction? " and I knew it was the one.  "Head Captain, I found it."

Nadine's POV:
I had my eyes closed and heard someone speaking.  It sounded like Mayuri talking about my well-being.  "Captain Unohana, she needs to be okay when Byakuya gets back or he'll have my head."  He said, sounding worried and frustrated.  "Don't worry Captain Kurotsuchi, she'll be fine."  I groaned and felt their eyes land on me.

I opened my eyes and felt a pounding headache.  Mayuri came over to me and looked me over.  "How are you feeling?"  He asked with worry in his voice.  "Like someone hit me hard on the head with a club."  I replied, slight sarcasm in my voice.  The woman I guessed was Captain Unohana smiled at me.  "She is sarcastic, a good sign that she'll recover quickly."  She said.  Her tone of voice made her sound kind and caring, almost like a mother.  I already felt safe with her near me. I looked around my surroundings and frowned. "Where am I?" I questioned. Captain Unohana spoke. "Squad four barracks, the go-to squad for healing. You're in the hospital part of the barracks. My name is Retsu Unohana, captain of squad four, the rescue and healing specialists."

I smiled at her and nodded. "It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Nadine Urahara." She smiled. "Not from what I've heard, since your father is Sosuke Aizen. I'd think your last name would now be Aizen." 'She's right, I suppose my last name is Aizen now.'  I thought with a hint of sadness showing on my face.  Then Mayuri began to speak in a tone as if he was interested in something.  "Now, about that Zanpakuto on your back."

Byakuya's POV:
I brought the manuscript to the Head Captain and he looked it over.  After he was done, he sighed.  "Head Captain, what is it?"  Renji asked in a worried tone.  He looked up with sadness in his eyes.  "Her fate with Sosuke Aizen was tied long ago.  It was said that if this ever happened, then Sosuke would have a great chance at destroying us all if she joined him."  He sighed again.

Rukia looked at him with determination in her eyes.  "And what if she joined our side?"  She asked.  "Most likely, she'll have to kill her own father."  Rukia gasped and lowered her head.  'I still have to go and check on her.'  I looked to the Head Captain.  "Would you please excuse me, Head Captain, I need to go check on Nadine."  He nodded and I left for squad four's barracks.

I flash-stepped to the hospital part and heard talking.  I hid at the door and looked in without being noticed.  Captain Unohana was there with Nadine and Captain Kurotsuchi.  "Not from what I've heard, since your father is Sosuke Aizen. I'd think your last name would now be Aizen."  Captain Unohana said and Nadine looked down sadly.  Captain Kurotsuchi knelt down beside her.  "Now, about that Zanpakuto on your back."  And with those words, I walked in.  Nadine and the two Captains looked at me.  Nadine smiled.  "Byakuya, you're back!"  She sprang up with a big grin and Captain Kurotsuchi gave me an annoyed look.  "Captain Kuchiki, please, we need to know about Nadine's Zanpakuto."  He said with an annoyed tone.

Nadine's POV:
"Byakuya, you're back!"  I jumped up with a big grin.  Mayuri looked at him with an annoyed look.  "Captain Kuchiki, please, we need to know about Nadine's Zanpakuto."  He said in an annoyed tone.  I sighed and brought the sword in my hand.  "Darkrai, can you help me out here?"  I asked gently.  My sword dissipated and I saw Darkrai appear in front of me.  I smiled and gestured to the Captains in the room.  "Darkrai, this is Captain Retsu Unohana, Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi, and Captain Byakuya Kuchiki."

Darkrai gave a deep bow to the three of them.  "It's a pleasure to meet you all, I am Darkrai."  The three of them looked at Darkrai in awe and I smiled, hugging him.  I saw a hint of what looked like jealousy in Byakuya's eyes for a brief moment before it disappeared.  Maybe I was just imagining things.  Mayuri stepped up to Darkrai, still looking at him in amazement.  "What can you do?"  He asked.  Darkrai answered in a confident tone.  "I can make people have nightmares, all of you will learn more about me at a later time."  He smiled and Mayuri frowned.  Byakuya looked at me and smiled for a little bit.  "Come on, let's take you home.  I'll even let you try to open the Senkaimon."  He said.  I nodded and smiled, Darkrai went back into his sword form.

Sorry about the slow updates, I'm in a musical at school and have about 5 hour choreography practices a day, so I'm getting really tired.  I know this is a slight filler chapter, but I promise, the next chapter will be a whole lot better.  Pic at the top is of Darkrai in his sword form.  VOTE and COMMENT please, it'll really help me get through all this crazy stuff.  Thanks and hope you enjoyed this chapter.😊
