Nadine's POV:
I blushed as Ulquiorra held my hand as we walked through the Garganta. The first time, I was a little peeved that his reishi path was nicer than mine, but I got over it. I felt tiredness set in and stumbled slightly before feeling Ulquiorra start to carry me bridal style. I leaned my head on his chest as he sighed and stroked my hair. "How long have you been up?" He questioned me. I put a finger to my chin in thought.
"I don't know. Loly and Menoly woke me up pretty late in the night." I explained to him. He sighed angrily at my explanation, probably at the thought of those two waking me up, and kissed my forehead.
I blushed darkly and buried my head in his chest to hide it. "I'm going to be better at protecting you from now on." He promised me. I nodded tiredly and noticed we made it to Karakura town. He placed me on my feet as he helped me to steady myself and held my hand. I smiled softly at him and he returned the gesture. We entered the doors of the high school and I sat down at my desk.
The bell rang and students filed into the door, including the Soul Society rats, and they took their seats next to me. I sighed in irritation and looked down at my drawing of Father and Mother before putting it away in my binder. The teacher then quickly went through roll and looked up from her papers. "We have two new students coming today and they're twin brothers. Please give a warm welcome to Shunsui and Jushiro Ukitake." She said. The two of them came in as their names were called. Shunsui is a tall man with long light brown hair and a tiny beard. He also wore a light pink coat over his school uniform with his arms kneaded trough the sleeves. He has light brown eyes. Jushiro has long white hair with grey eyes and a kind look on his face.
The teacher told Jushiro to sit in front of me and Shunsui to sit behind me. I shrugged as I started to work on my math assignment. It looked like Jushiro and Shunsui were having problems on it as they were next to each other with frustrated looks on their faces and I chuckled lightly. I grabbed an empty seat and planted it in front of the two of them, gently sitting down in it. They looked up with astonished expressions and I smiled.
"Hi, I'm Nadine Aizen and I'd like to help you with your math. You seem to be having trouble with it." I explained to them. They both nodded with tiny kind smiles placed on their lips and I showed them how to do it step by step. They picked up on it quickly and did the rest while I watched, making sure they did it right. "Hey, do you guys wanna sit together at lunch so that we can get to know each other?" I asked them.
They blinked, looking at each other, then nodded with a smile. "Thank you for the kind offer, we'd love to make new friends." Jushiro explained.
Shunsui then spoke. "Do you have any friends that like to sit with you?" He questioned me. I looked down sadly and he lowered his head, realizing it was a bad question.
"Not really, I've never had many friends so I've gotten pretty lonely." I said as tears threatened to spill. Shunsui and Jushiro realized this and pulled me into a three-way embrace. My eyes widened, then closed slightly as I smiled. "Thank you." I whispered. They nodded in response. Throughout the rest of the day, they made me laugh and we got along spectacularly. The end of the day hit and the bell to end school rang, making me smile and stretch. The three of us got up and started packing up. Turns out that they live not too far from me.
They offered to walk me home and I took them up on it. I then heard Ulquiorra whisper quietly in my ear. "Be careful of these two, they might betray you." I nodded stiffly in response and continued on my way with my two new friends. Darkrai was also on edge after Ulquiorra's words as I felt him fidgeting. We then reached my house and I turned to them with a smile.
They smiled back to me. "Thanks for walking me home, we should hangout sometime." I said to them. The two of them nodded.
"Sounds like a plan. Why don't we hang out now." Shunsui said. I rose a brow and watched them fall to the ground, replaced by the same looking people, only with long white cloaks and black clothing on underneath. My eyes widened in shock.
Ulquiorra appeared next to me and I pulled Darkrai from my back. "Be careful, these guys are captains in the Soul Society." Darkrai warned. I nodded as I blocked a blow, then dodged another one. My eyes widened when seeing that they were both wielding two swords. I felt myself pulled into my subconscious and saw white everywhere. Darkrai stood in front of me with his own sword in hand. "This is a life or death situation, it's time to learn your Bankai."
Ulquiorra's POV:
I saw Nadine start fighting like she was a professional at sword fighting and smirked. 'Looks like Darkrai took over for her for a short time.' I blocked a swing from Shunsui as Nadine started to drive Jushiro back slightly. Shunsui glared at me and swung again. "We're taking Nadine back to the Soul Society, we won't stand by and allow you to control her any longer!" He exclaimed and swung at me once again.
My smirk widened when I felt a huge burst of spiritual pressure from Nadine. "The night is long and darkness consumes, enemies must beware of nightmare's dooms. Bankai, awaken Darkrai!" Nadine yelled out. My smirk faltered when I saw her. I almost thought she was Lord Aizen with how much she looked like him. Her clothing was all black with a long cloak on her, flowing effortlessly along with her long brown hair. He eyes had changed from emerald green to a milk chocolate brown. I noticed the sheath changed from black to white and Darkrai became an all black sword with some sort of black mist around it. Her eyes held no emotion as she lifted Darkrai above her head, slicing downward. Jushiro blocked it swiftly, but was pushed back a few feet from her spiritual pressure.
She muttered an incantation and the two captains then fell to the ground unconscious. She smirked and her Bankai dissipated, same with Darkrai. "Let's get going quickly before they wake up from their nightmares." She said and I nodded while opening the Garganta.
