Connie yet again was left heartbroken as Michael had left her. He was offered another post in Canada and asked Connie to join him but she had refused so he left on his own. But Jacob, he was still with Mia and it killed Connie inside whenever she saw then together.

There was a function and all the ED staff including Connie were invited. As she arrived, she saw Jacob kissing Mia. His hands around she waist whilst hers went around his neck.

Connie walked past them and went by the bar to order a drink. She stayed there for a few minutes and then Zoe approached her.

"Jacob looks happy." She said. "She must really love Mia."

Connie gave Zoe her famous glare making her leave quickly as she didn't want to ruin her night. Connie stayed there, all evening looking at Jacob. Soon after, Mia left and Jacob walked to the bar and sat next to Connie but none uttering a word.

Connie kept on ordering more and more drink until she got really drunk.

"Easy Connie." Jacob said as he held onto her to stabilise her. "You've had too much to drink and I can't let you leave alone. Let me drop you home."

"No...that..won't be necess.." She said but then fell again only to be caught by Jacob. He carried her out and into his car. He drove off to Connie's house and opened the door with the keys he found inside her bag.

He walked upstairs and gently placed her on her bed and pulled the covers. He was about to leave when Connie held his hand. "Don't leave me Jacob." She said. "Stay."

"I can't Connie." He replied. "I promised Mia I will go to hers."

"Mia ..Mia ..Mia" she began to say in her drunken state. "Don't you ever stop talking about Mia."

"Connie." He said.

"No Jacob." She said and then broke down and began to cry. "Can't you forget her a moment."

"She's my girlfriend Connie." He said. "We are always together."

"She's lucky." She said. "Lucky to have you."

Jacob stood there and didn't utter a word. He let Connie talk and talk.
"Sometimes I wish I was Mia." She confessed. "I wish I could always be around you."

"Why do you say that Connie." He asked.

"Because..because I have fallen for you Jacob." She confessed and then fell into a deep sleep.

Jacob stood there shocked. Connie had just confessed that she liked him but what could he do. He was with Mia...
