Seven

A week had gone since Michael had returned. He was working at Darwin but was constantly at the ED just to be with Connie.

Jacob had avoided Connie completely. He couldn't stand to be in the same room as her anymore. He loved her a lot but she didn't. She never took an interest in her. Ever!

"Excuse me, I am looking for Jacob." Said a blonde woman.

"And you are?" Connie asked. She was going out for lunch with Michael when the woman approached him.

"Mia, his girlfriend." She replied. Connie's world shattered. Jacob had a girlfriend.

"Oh okay." She replied. She spotted Jacob walking towards them. "Ah there he is." She pointed out.

He walked closer to Mia and gently kissed her. "Hey beautiful." He said. "You ready to go out?"

Connie felt jealous. He kissed her in front of her. He called her beautiful. But why did it affect her so much when she was convinced she was alright. When she had convinced herself that Jacob was no one to her.

"Why don't you join us." Suggested Michael. "You are going out for lunch and so are we so let's go together."

After much persuasion, they agreed and they all headed towards Jacob's car as it was the only one that they could all fit in.

Mia and Jacob sat at the front and Connie sat at the back with Michael. Mia placed her hand on Jacob's thighs as he was driving and Connie was yet again very Jealous as the thought of someone else touching him. She couldn't just sit there and watch. She tried distracting herself but she couldn't. All she could think about was Jacob. She and missed his company. She had missed his annoying her.

They arrived at the restaurant and Connie and Jacob sat opposite Mia and Jacob.  Jacob kept starring at Connie, unable to keep his eyes away. He wanted her. He craved for her but she had a boyfriend whilst he had a girlfriend. A girlfriend! He was only wth Mia as he wanted someone to take his mind away from thinking about Connie. He dint rally have feelings for Mia.

They say eating but Connie and Jacob were just staring at each other throughout.

"You alright Connie?" Michael asked.

"Why do you ask?" She replied.

"You haven't eaten much." He said.

"I am not that hungry." She replied as she continued to play with her food whilst stealing glances at Jacob! She had a desperate urge to be with him! She wanted him to herself!
