The day of my birth was a real big deal for everyone in Nigeria, sadly most people don't know this.
I was born on a bright sunny Tuesday afternoon on the 3rd of march in Lagos, Nigeria, Africa, Earth. It was a day of joy for my family. My sister was the most happy about my existence (even though she will never admit it) , she was no longer the only child. Everyone was practically happy about my existence (those were the good old days when everything was right in my life.)
The day of my birth may have been a normal day for some people but it wasn't for the omuvwie's household (pronounced oh-mu-vi-ye). My mom was already admitted in the hospital in preparation of my arrival, my dad was by her side while my sister stayed with our relatives. She went into labour at about 12 midnight on Tuesday 3rd of march 1998 and i came into this world at about 4 pm that same day. Yes, it was a long delivery.
As soon as the news of my existence was heard everyone rejoiced and danced with joy as they knew an awesome child has been born (well when I say everyone I mean just my family members but I like to think the whole world rejoiced on my arrival).
I came to into this world with a big smile. Everyone wanted to see the beautiful, chubby bouncing baby girl AKA me. So as soon as my mom was in a private ward with me, they all rushed to see me. They all complimented my bright brown eyes, chocolate skin and beautiful smile. I was like a ray of sunshine. My mom and dad looked at me with pride and my sister was just happy she was not the only child anymore and had someone to boss around.
It was truly a day of joy for everyone.
