A Birthday To Remember

"Find out what you're doing for your birthday, it is this Saturday,"Gina asked.

"Yeah, I decided to spend the day with Lonnie for my birthday, since we don't get to be together much except at night. Plus he said he has something planned for me,''I said.

"What about your dad,"Ashley asked.

"Well i planned on telling him that I was going to be hanging with you guys and staying over at Gina's,"I replied nervously.

" So you're coming to my house afterwards,"Gina asked confused.

"Weeeell,not really,"I said still nervous.

"Wait! Pause! What da fuck you mean not really! Do you plan on staying at his house,"she exclaimed.

"Yeah,"I said under my breath nervous to even speak up.

"What in the hell is wrong with you!"

"Nothing, my dad won't even notice. I promise."

"All i know is yo dumb ass better not get me in trouble,"she said trying to calm down.

"I won't."

"Okay Vicky,"she said but i can tell she still didn't believe me.

"I promise G, you're my best friend,"I said grabbing her arm practically begging.

"Uh huh,"she said still using the same disappointed tone like she just won't believe me. I just accepted the fact that she wasn't impressed about my decision.I trusted Gina not to say anything to anyone, she wasn't the type to snitch, but Ashley on the other hand was the 24/7 good girl that was scared to do anything wrong. But I trusted her to keep her mouth shut too anyway. Because i was not changing my mind about my decision and Gina knew for a fact that i wasn't.

Well it wasn't long before my birthday came to place. I got up that morning better than ever. My mom did this birthday breakfast for me and my brother each year for our birthdays. So I got ready and went down stairs to find everyone in the kitchen. I sat down and my mom handed me a gift.

"Here sweetie and happy birthday,"she said handing it to me and sitting my food down. I took a bit of the pancakes then started to open the gift. It was a new sketch book. It was bigger than my old one. It was a black hard back one like the professionals had. With it was a set of pencils for shading and color pencils, every shade of colors. It was one of the best gifts i ever gotten. I thanked my mom and dad over hundreds of times and continued to eat.

"So what are you doing today for your birthday darling,"my mom asked.

"I was planning to spend the day with the girls and then spend the night at Gina's," I stopped eating to say.

"Ok but promise me that you will be careful," my dad said still looking in his newspaper.

"I promise daddy."

"Oh and take your car."

"Daddy i don't have a car, remember."

That's when he pulled out some keys and handed them to me and said," Yes you do it's in the front."

I snatched the keys from his hand and ran outside to find a white Cadillac Escalade. I ran back inside kissed his cheek and repeated thank you. I got my things and left. I put my things in the trunk of my new car and sneaked of into the woods to meet Lonnie. When I got there was leaned against the water well looking down at a white rose in his hand.

"I see that you found out my favorite flower,"I said walking over to him.

"Oh i just saw that you drew it quite a bit in your sketchbook and so i thought, you know. Happy birthday V bunny," he said walking towards me and handing me the rose.
