Marceline POV

We we're sitting on her bed. I felt so nervous like glob, my hands were sweaty, my heart was beating out of my chest. I have been to her rooms many times, but why am I nervous this time? Oh that's right because I'm confessing my love to Bonnie, again. 

We sat in awkward silence for about 5 minutes until Bonnie cleared her throat and said, "What's on your mind?"

"I really don't know"

"Can you explain to me what happened when you found me passed out?"

"Yeah sure. I was wondering where you were for our date because you didn't show up for hours, so I got worried thought the Simon, I mean Ice King took you again so I went over to your house and it was all dark when I entered your room. That's when I saw you passed out and I looked around the room and noticed that you probably passed out because of your experiments. So that's when I took you in my arms and put you in bed."

"Oh, I'm really sorry Marceline. I just got carried away and I had the date in my mind, it was just this experiment took over my mind."

At this point I was angry, because she made it sound like that stupid experiment was her main priority and not our date. She has tons of experiments she does everyday and she couldn't find one day to set them aside and focus on the date. But then I realized that this is her life, and couldn't change her habits. I laughed and she looked at me curiously and asked, "Why are you laughing?"

"Because that is so you. Working every time on an experiment."

"Again, why is that funny?"

"I don't know. It's just, it's you. And I find it kinda cute"

I could see a different shade of pink on her face and I could tell that she was trying to keep a smile in.

"Oh shut up Marceline. Now tell me about the ring please."

And that's when my anxiety came back. I knew that if I told her about the ring that would mean that I would have to tell her all my feelings. Gross. She looked at me like she was dying to know what the ring meant. I had to tell her either way. So I took a deep breathe and I told her  what it meant.

"That ring is like a promise ring. It's not an engagement ring. Don't get it mixed up. That ring means that I promise that I will protect you from any harm and that I will support you in any decisions you make. I promise that I will be there for you when you are feeling down or happy and I'll be there for you no matter how far you push me away. You see Bonnie, this ring means so much to me and it would be so globbing awesome if you accepted it, because I lo---"

I had to catch myself before I said anything. We've only been on two kinda dates and I couldn't say that word  just yet. But I could see from the corner of my eye that she was staring at me and it was really hard trying to not stare at her. My face was heating up and that's pretty rare considering I'm a vampire. 

A couple seconds went by and she did what I wanted her to do. She took the box, took out the ring, and slipped on her ring finger. She looked at it and leaned over to my face and kissed my cheek. And boy can I tell you, I blushed like the pink on her face. 

Bonnie then said, "It's absolutely beautiful Marcy. Thank you." 

I didn't know what to do but just smile like an idiot. This meant that Bonnie was mine and I was hers and I couldn't be more happier in this moment.
