I had no excuse this time. There was no alcohol. There was no dare. I just kissed Noah for no real reason. Actually, there was one reason: the sparkle in his eyes. Zayn would kill Noah. Should I tell Zayn? No. Definitely not.

"Could you give us a second?" Noah asks Logan calmly.

"Uh.. Sure.." Logan says and turns to leave. He turns back around and opens his mouth to say something, but instead he shakes his head and walks away.

I stand still in the middle of Noah's room, unable to think straight. Noah walks over and shuts the door.

"Sorry about that Shea," Noah says and bites his lip. God damn, that's hot.

"About what?" I ask, genuinely confused. About the kiss? About Logan walking in?

"I'm not sure.. Everything?.. You have a boyfriend," he says and shyly looks at his feet. He's not wearing at shoes.

"It.. Was my fault.. I just.. We can't do that.. Again.." I say and feel sick as the words slide off of my tongue. Who am I kidding? I'd love to do that again. His facial expression drops and becomes disappointed. I feel myself frown at his disappointment.

"I understand," he says quietly, still looking at the ground.

"It's just, Zayn is my boyfriend, and," I struggle to make the words leave my mouth, "and I love him," I say and he frowns. His frown makes me frown.

"I still want to be your friend.. Just no more kissing.." I explain and his facial expression lightens slightly.

"Ok.. Do you want to go downstairs?" He asks and I nod.

As we descend the stairs Logan and Harry watch us with grins in their faces. Of course Logan told him.

"What were you two doing?" Harry says with a cheeky smirk.

"Nothing," I say quietly with a blush.

"What's that then?" Harry asks and points to Noah. I turn to him and see the big mark on his neck that I left. He immediately turns red and covers it with his hand.

"Back off Harry," Noah warns and Harry giggles.

"Mate, I'm your brother, it's my job to make you uncomfortable," Harry smiles.

"Im.. Going to get a glass of water.." I say and point to the kitchen. Harry nods and Noah takes a seat in the recliner next to the couch. I walk to the kitchen to try and escape the awkwardness.

That day was normal after a little while. We didn't mention the kiss and I thank god for that. The next day Harry drove me to and from work. I told him he didn't have to, but he wasn't giving me an option. After work I came home and was so excited that I could barely think.

"You ready to go get that car?" My mom asks as soon as I walk in the door.

"Hell yah I am!" I say and she giggles.

"Watch your mouth, Shea," she says as we walk to her car. I roll my eyes. I don't usually swear in front of my mother, but when I do they are pg 13 words.

The ride to the dealer was short. Mom made jokes about me wrecking the car. I'd say I'm a good driver, except when I'm nervous. My drivers test would have gone perfectly, but the woman who I drove with was very intimidating and I jerked the car a few times. Luckily, I still passed. When we arrive there are so many cars that I don't know where to look first. I'm glad that I saved enough money to buy the car that I want.

"Would a girl like you want a bug?" The dealer asks. He runs his hand over his sideways slicked hair.

"Those aren't too safe," my mom says and I roll my eyes.

"Mom, I like bugs," I say and smile at him.

"But don't you want trunk space, so you can carry around your sculptures?" Mom asks. The woman's got a point.

"How a 'bout a truck?" The dealer suggests. I never thought about a truck.

"What if it rains on them?" I ask.

"We sell covers for the back of the truck." He says and I nod.

He takes us to a row of trucks and we walk by them. Some of them are really big, and manly. As we are walking I see an old red truck with bubbly fenders. I want it.

"How much for that old one?" I ask.

"Oh, I thought you'd like that. It is in perfect condition and hasn't been here for too long," he explains.

I know I want this car. I take it for a test drive and it runs surprisingly smooth for it's age. I've driven trucks before, being in the small town that I live in.

Mom talks the price down a bit and I sign the papers.

I drive my new car home and roll the windows down. I play music as loud as I can and drive around a few extra blocks.

((A/n I know this chapter is a little boring, but Shea gets a car! Yay! And I just made a new Instagram: @theneighborsfanfic. I will be posting pictures of the characters on their.
