Noah runs around to my side and open the door for me. I think it's cute how he runs every time, trying hard not to keep me waiting.
I climb out of the car and as soon as I take a step my blue heels make me trip and almost fall on my face. Luckily, Noah caught me and helped me up.
"Are you ok?" He asks concerned.
"Yeah, Im just not used to these shoes," I explain and smooth out my white dress.
"I don't understand why you wore them," he says and shuts the at door behind me. He hooks out arms together, probably to support me in case I fell again.
"We are going to a nice restaurant," I say as we start to walk to the entrance.
"I like your other shoes," he says and I smile. I'm glad he likes them so much.
"Yeah but they just wouldn't look right with my dress," I say. I almost did wear my converse, but Mu-Mom told me that this restaurant was too nice for them.
"I think anything you wear would look nice," he says in the most adorable way possible. I tilt my head up an press a kiss to his jaw. A contagious smile spreads across his face and soon we are both smiling as he escorts me to the restaurant. We find a booth towards the back and order our meals.
I order a raspberry lemonade and Noah orders a glass of water. When the waitress brings them over she sets two straws on the table next to our drinks.
Noah hits his straw against the table to break it free from the wrapper and pulls it halfway out. He put the straw to his lips and blows the wrapper at me, hitting me directly in the forehead. He giggles like a child.
"Two can play that game," I say and rip half of the wrapper off of my straw and bring it to my lips. When I blow the wrapper at him he dodges it and it flies into a girls head behind him. I cover my face.
"What the hell?" I hear her say. That voice sounds familiar? I hear movement and assume she's turned around.
"Shea?" She asks and I know it's her. I pull my hand away from my face.
"Hey Alexis," I smile. I'm less embarrassed about hitting her now. Noah turns around and his face is really close to Alexis', making me extremely uncomfortable.
"Oh, hey.. Logan?" She asks. She looks disappointed.
"Nope, it's Noah,"he replies with a polite smile. I don't like him smiling at her. She smiles back.
"Oh, well it's nice to see you guys," She says. Yeah, she's a great girl. I've known her for a long time, but she is extremely pretty and I don't like it one bit.
"You too," Noah says, still with a smile on his face.
"Oh, and I was wondering if you were still coming to my birthday party," She asks me.
"Yeah, I've come every year since third grade, I'm not gonna quit now," I say and she giggles and I want to slap her for giggling in such an adorable way right next to Noah.
"Good, and you should bring Logan and .. Uh. Noland?" She asks. Good. She's not interested enough to know his name.
"Noah," he corrects her.
"Oh, sorry, I really only talk to your brother," she says and their faces are so close that it's killing me.
"It's not a problem, you know, I have two of them," he reminds her.
"Oh yeah, the one who's always hanging around Louis Tomlinson," she says.
"Yep, that's Harry," he says. Stop talking to her!
My night in shining armor shows up with two plates of food in her hands and I silently pray a thank you to god.
"I'll let you guys get back to your.. Is this a date?" She asks and look confused. The waitress slides the plates in front of us.
"Yeah, it is," I says and try to sound calm, but I could feel the attitude slide off of my tongue.
"Oh, what happened to Zayn?" She asks. God dammit, just turn back around to whoever it is you're eating with.
"We broke up," I say and she nods.
"Didn't you guys first get together at my party?" She reminds me with an amused smile. I don't think he realizes that she shouldn't be asking about these things. She's never had a boyfriend longer than three months, like most of the girls in my school.
"Yeah," I says quietly.
"We should get to our food, it. Was nice talking to you, Alexis," Noah nudges. Did he just get jealous? Of Zayn? The guy who I broke up with for him.
It was kinda hot.
"Oh, sorry, I should too, see you next week!" She says and I nod when she finally turns around.
"She's, nice," he says, a small pause before he says nice.
"Yeah," I agree picking up a spoonful of my mashed potatoes.
"What the hell!" I say.
"Is something wrong?" He asks, holding back a smile.
"There is paper in my mashed potatoes," I whine.
"Maybe they dropped it while they were cooking," he says, still trying to hold back a smile.
"Ok.. What's so funny?" I ask. His weird expression is concerning me.
"Read the paper," he says.
I know it's weird, but I feel like he's proposing.
"What's on the paper?" I ask slowly and afraid. He just smiles and I wipe it off with a napkin.
'Be my girlfriend' it says. No question mark. It's a command. And I can't help but love every bit of it.
"Of course!" I jump up and try to run around the table but my heels end up making me fall straight on the ground and I hit my forehead slams against the hard wood.
"Oh my god, are you okay?" Noah asks and kneels down next to me.
My head is instantly pounding and I look around to see all eyes on me. Including Alexis'. I feel my face get heated and Noah helps me up. My head pounds through my skull. I hear a few old women saying 'oh goodness' and 'I hope she's alright'.
"I'll be fine, I uh, my head sorta hurts," I say. It does hurt. Bad.
"You go out to the car, I'll pay for the food," he says and I nod, which was a bad idea because I can feel my brain rolling around my head. I hold my head in pain and squeeze my eyes shut. I open them back up to see a sad look on Noah's face.
"Il be right out, I promise," he says.
"Okay," I say, careful not to nod.
"I'm sorry," he says. He sounds like he just punched me.
"It's fine, I'm just clumsy," I say and he kisses my throbbing forehead.
"You go and sit, I'll be RIGHT there," he says an emphasizes 'right'.
"Okay, I'll be out there," I say and he kisses my lips before I leave.
I make my way out to his car and pull open the passenger door. That was incredibly embarrassing.
I pull down the mirror and flip it open.
Oh god, I have a knot already formed on my head. I run my fingers over it and close my eyes before hearing the drivers side door open.
"Hey, I got two boxes of left overs and I asked them for a bag of ice," he says. He's such a sweetheart. I'd bet he's never harmed a fly in his life.
"Thank you so much," I say, with my eyes still closed. I feel the cold bag of ice gently press to my forehead and warm lips press to my cheek.
"I'll take you home," he says and I hear him shut the door behind him. The car starts and before I know it I feel us moving.
"Guess what," I say with a smile, my eyes still squeezed shut.
"What?" Noah asks and I can tell by the tone of his voice that he's smiling.
"I have a boyfriend," I say and hear him chuckle.
"And I have a girlfriend," he responds and I feel his fingers intertwine with mine as he drives.
((A/n Noah is so fucking cute. Poor Shea bumped her head.))
