Chapter 50

I read the short note that my boyfriend left me another time before setting it on my desk.

I already want to go and kiss him again.

I grab my things to see none other than Noah Styles waiting on my porch.

"Hey," he says and it's funny that I feel my cheeks heat up at the one small word.

"Hey, I got your note," I say.

"Yeah, you were asleep when I came over to apologize," he says.

"Sorry, I was really tired."

"Yeah, are you still going to ride with the boys and I?" he asks.

"Yeah, at least I was hoping to," I twirl the end of my hair like I'm flirting.

"Lets go," he smiles and takes my hand.

"Hey Shea, how are you feeling?" Harry asks sweetly when Noah and I climb into the back seat of their impala.

"Better, still tired," I say and scoot into the middle seat to be close to Noah.

He wraps an arm around my shoulder and pulls me close to him.

"Yeah, I'm glad you're alright," he says as he drives the opposite way.

"Where are you going?" Logan grumbles, probably grumpy with a hangover.

"I'm picking up Louis," he says.

"Why couldn't he drive you?" Logan continues to question him.

"Because I want him to hang out with you both more, become pals," he says and Logan rolls his eyes.

"Can't we hang out with him when it's not morning?" He asks.

"No," Harry says.

"I'm already quite close to Louis," Noah reminds them.

"Yeah, but not outside of school," Harry says, reminding me that it's been a while since Jane and I have been together outside of school. I'll have to make plans with her this summer.

We arrive to Louis' house and pick him up. He actually ends up getting along with Logan pretty well, despite his constant whining about his hangover.

At school I find Jane in first period.

"Hey Shea, I heard you drowned?" she says.

"I did," I say for the fifth time today.

Everybody in this small town knows that I drowned already. I could barely make it to class without getting apologized to every five steps. It's nice, but its a lot of attention.

"At least you're ok now, so what's up?" she changes subjects quickly.

"I was wondering if you wanted to study with me for our final today?"

"I don't know if I should hang out with strangers," she teases,"but I would like to hang out with you, Noah's been hiding you," she says and I smile excitedly. I'll have to hang out with her more during summer, too.

"So, have you got any boys you're going after?" I ask.

"Actually, remember that Niall kid who I kissed in truth or dare?"she asks.

"Yeah, I work with him," I smirk, I I remember correctly, Niall has told me that he's got a crush on Jane.

"Yeah, we'll he's pretty funny, actually," she smiles.

"I think you should go for it," I smile.

"Really?"

"Yeah, you'd be cute together," I tell her and her freckled cheeks blush.
