The Neighbors

Chapter 28

**Harry's pov**

"Haha, very funny," Shea said sarcastically in response to Logan's joke about her shoes. I always like Shea's red shoes. So did Noah, he has doodles of them in all of his notebooks. They are a cute couple.

I admit, at first I had a crush on Shea. She's still super hot, but when I noticed the way Noah looks at her, the way he says her name, the way she brightens his whole mood when she walks in, I guess I sort of forgot about my crush.

Noah used to have a lot of anger problems. I think they developed when Dad died. He doesn't really get angry anymore. Not since he met Shea. He's never been angry with her the way that he used to be. Yeah, he yelled at her once, but it's nothing compared to what he used to be. Even his last two girlfriends didn't make him act this way.

Noah has always been a gentleman. He was always polite to girls. That's why they liked him so much. But, one time he got crossed with Noah while his girlfriend Natalie was visiting. I think Noah lost his virginity to her, and he was really attached to her. Logan accidentally smeared the paint on one of Noah's paintings and Noah started to yell, making Natalie freak out. Natalie just sort of cut Noah out of her life after that.

He had another girlfriend after Natalie. Her name was Caroline, but they only dated for a little while and Noah didn't have enough time to get attached between then and when she cheated on him. He was a little upset, but he got over it ten times quicker than he did with Natalie.

I like Shea. She's nice to Noah. She keeps him calm. He hasn't physically fought with Logan and I since shes been around and I thank her for that.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by a knocking at the door.

"Babe, can you get that?" Noah asks Shea, who was sitting in his lap. Logan was setting up some board game on the floor and I was lost in my thoughts.

"Yeah, sure," she says and he kisses her quickly before she runs over to the door.

I watch her open it and she smiles.

"Hey Louis!" She says and I smile. Louis and I had plans to study together tonight and he was coming over to pick me up.

"Hey Shea," he says and she opens the door wide enough for me to see him. He hugs Shea and walks into the house, shutting the door behind him.

"You ready?" He asks. I look at his outfit. He's wearing a black printed t shirt with red basketball shorts. He is an extremely good looking guy and it surprised me that girls weren't following him around school. When he told me he was gay it made sense. I'm not one of those guys who gets uncomfortable around gay men, it's nothing to be uncomfortable about and it bothers me that some people are still against it. It's not like they choose to be gay, and it doesn't make them any different.

"Yeah, let's go," I say and stand from my spot on the couch.

"You're leaving me!" Shea whines at me in a playful tone.

"Yeah love, see you tomorrow," I smile and hug her before walking to the door.

"Bye Noah and Shea," Louis says and they exchange waves before he closes the door.

I follow Louis to his truck and climb in the passenger side. Everybody in this town has trucks, including Shea.

"I love this song!" He says and turns up the radio to a song I've never heard. I watch him sing along as he drives. He has a beautiful singing voice that gives me chills. It has me unable to focus on my thoughts.

When the song is over he turns the radio back down and waves in my face with his free hand.

"Earth to Harry," he says and I shake my head, clearing my thoughts.
