Chapter 2- Eccentric Shtick

"Be Good okay?"- Dad. He drived me here, School. I've expected it actually, he want to make it up with me. but despite of his effort. It doesnt affect me.

I rolled my eyes, and open the track door.

"Call me"- Pahabol nya at pinaandar ang sasakyan.

"Ms. Mendelle?"

"Ms.Veronica Mendelle?"

"ahmm. Yes Miss?"- I didnt hear her Sorry. its My first day, You cant blame me.

"come. Introduce yourself"- Our Adviser I guess? The Town's School is kind of weird. I enter the door of my soon to be 'everyday-attending-room', . I scanned my eyes to everybody seating at that wooden armchair. I can see Excitement within some of the persons eyes, Thrilled and of course the We-do-not-even-care.

I Glimpse at our adviser. Nakangiti habang naghihintay ng sasabihin ko. so sinimulan ko na.

"Im Veronica Mendelle, 17 and Im kind of new here, please bare with me...

I heard Chuckles. I continued.

"Newby from C-City. and now a folks here at your beloved BlueLake Town"

I paused. Akwardness is what I see. I felt something weird. i look around, School Boys and Girls. nothings seems strange but I totally can feel something. Am I just being paranoid? haa. here we go again Veca..

"makakaupo ka na"- as Miss, Speak.

i looked for a sit. There's a unoccupied chair at the back. Well, This is a Good thing to start the first day, DONT GET NOTICE by anyone. but i think i just did it a while ago, The introducing thing??

I was about to sit when someone called me.

"Hi Veronica! My name is Gretel" - napalingon ako. bumungad sakin ang isang masiyahing dalaga. she seems so positive. Maganda ito at halatang alaga sa pangangatawan.

"Ow Hello. Gretel"- binigyan ko sya ng isang matipid na ngiti kasabay ng pag upo ko sa silya.

"So, bago ka palang dito. Interested in joining us for lunch?"- positibong sagot niya.

"ahm. may mga kailangan pa kase akong asikasuhin eh"

"No problem! if tungkol toh sa school we'll help you then"

"Yeah. we will"- sabay salita ng mga katabi nya pa. dalawang lalake at isang babae. parehong may mga magagandang tindig ng katawan at hugis ng mukha. They Look fresh, why does this world create so much injusticed when it comes in Human perspective. hey! its unfair.

"Sorry. I just really need to do something, You know"- pagdadahilan ko. Hindi naman sa ayaw ko silang makasama, is just that. I really need to explore it by my own. I was trained to be independent for the record.

"Okay. No problem"- Ngiti ni Gretel.

"Just approach us if you need help or something"- pahabol nung isang lalake. He seems nice.

Tumingin na ulit sila sa may harapan and Thats what I did also.

Dissmised. I decided to explore this School, Hindi ito ganun kalaki katulad ng mga universities sa syudad pero kasya ang isang libong mahigit na estudyante. May cafeteria ito na kasya ang lahat, mga classroom na puti ang pintura at field na kayang pagsabay sabayin ang anu mang klase ng laro. may mga bleachers itong nakapaligid, Dumirecho ako patungo roon. I think it is a Good place to think.

while Im seating, I saw some students at the field, some are having marathon around the field, some are playing basketball at the middle where in there's also some cheerleader practicing.

I look and scan my sides, No presence of any students but far away from where I am,Theres a couple, making out. I just rolled my eyes.

"Is this how a Young beautiful lady kills time?"- a man's voice suddenly filled the Empty,Quiet air.

Lumingon ako sa likod. and there I saw a man, Not just a man. He's perfect. Standing at the 3rd bleacher layer before mine.. but because of my DONT-GET-NOTICE policy for this day. I nonchalantly face again infront

Naramdaman kong umuga ng kaonte ang bleacher. and there I saw him, with my peripheral vision, Standing 3 size ruler away from me.

"Your New here right?"

Moment of silence. Hindi pa din ako nagsasalita.

"Are you deaf??"- He said. What?

"Ano sabi mo?"- may pagbabantang saad ko sabay tingin sakanya.

"Yan. nagsalita ka na din"- then he chuckled.

Lumingon ako sa mga bag ko, He's weird. Kinuha ko ang mga ito at tumayo paalis.

Hindi pa ko nakakaalis ng sumigaw sya bigla. "Hindi masamang makipagkaibigan!"

I turned around, pero wala na sya dun.

That guy is so weird.

I decided to walked for home, I dont expect someone to fetch me. may mga estudyanteng nagkalat sa labas ng school.

"Dude! are you okay?!"- sigaw ng isang lalaki, Di kalayuan ito sa tinatayuan ko.

Nakuha nito ang atensyon ko dahil sa mga estudyanteng nagkumpulan roon.

Palapit na sana ako ng "He just Vomitted. Drunk"- narinig ko sa mga estudyanteng galing doon. akala ko ano na.

Nang wala ng masyadong nakakumpol, Doon nakita ko sina Gretel at ang kanyang mga kasama. Tinulungan nilang makatayo ang lalaki at sabay ipinasok ito sa loob ng koche.

naglakad na ako papunta sa Gate, nakatingin sa akin ang mga ibang estudyante, Normal lang siguro dahil ako ay bagong salta dito sa eskwelahan. nasa labas na ko ng may tumawag sakin.

"Hey Veca! "- ngiting ngiting nya sakin, hininto nito ang sasakyan.

Its Gretel, Nasa Driver's seat. Then yung girl na kasama nya nasa shotgun seat, kasunod ng dalawang lalake sa likod nito, nakapagitan sakanila ang isang estudyanteng lugmok at maputla ang ichura at medyo basa ang mukha. eto siguro yung lalakeng nagsuka kanina.

"Care for a ride?"- ngiti nya sakin.

I take a glimpse to her friends or acquitances. They all seems nice, except that man, I can feel with his attitude right now, he doesnt want me, Nakatingin sya paharap sa daan.

Tinapik nito si Gretel at sinenyasan, before she speak, inunahan ko na sya.

"Thank you but I really need to go back, I have something to..."- tipid na ngiti ko sakanila habang nagmadaling umalis.

"No problem. We'll Go now. Bye Veca"- and The car flew right away before my eyes.

I walked towards the school I turn my head back to the car. and I caught that frightening-looking-man, casting a look at me in the side mirror, napaharap ako. Weird.
