Title- Facing People

Layla's POV

I woke up. It was the second day of school. I was not excited. I got up and changed. I just put on my black skater skirt, my black tank top with a neon pink and yellow flower on it, and some jell, clear sandals.

I quickly put those on and ran outside of the school. I didn't take any chances of going back to that cafè. I decided just to the Starbucks across the street.

I ordered a cotton candy frap and a chocolate chip cookie for later. I put the cookie in my bag and walked back to school while drinking my frappuccino. It was so good!

I went into history class and everyone was looking at me. Even the teacher was looking at me! It felt so awkward. But like Rebecca, Ashley, and Josh told me to, I just ignored them and kelp on drinking my cotton candy frap.

Once I did that no one else looked at me in that class. That happened in all of the classes. The class I had with Stacy, science class, I did the same thing too.

Stacy looked shocked when I did that. I guess she was expecting my to cry and run away. Thanks to Rebecca, Ashley, and Josh I felt good about myself and didn't mind anymore. I thought to myself, I have wonderful friends.

Meanwhile

Abby's POV

We were in summer break so we didn't have school. I decided to go over to Calum's house and surprise him. I had the key to his house so I didn't have to knock.

I got to Calum's house. It took only 10 minutes because I finally took my drivers license test and passed yesterday. I was going to surprise Calum and tell him.

I quietly unlocked the door and slowly opened it. I heard Calum and his mom talking. I decided to ease drop because I wanted to know what was going on. They were sorta screaming at each other.

"Mom! I don't want to break up! I like Abby!" Calum screamed. "Calum Thomas Hood! You will do what I tell you to do! Abigail is not fit for this family! She will never do it!" Mrs. Hood said. "I know she won't! And that is one reason why I like her! I told you when I was freaking four that what you do is wrong!" Calum screamed.

"I'm 16 mother! I can make my own choices! One day you'll see! I'll marry her! And you'll see how much of a jerk you are! You ruin peoples lives! Literally!" Calum screamed.

"You are not an adult yet so you listen to me!" Mrs. Hood said. "Well I don't f*cking care what you tell me to do! I am not breaking up with Abby!" Calum screamed and ran to the other room.

I was shocked. His mother wanted us to break up. And he stood up for me. And he said he would marry me. I was so happy and decided to go home.

I didn't want them to catch me. I ran to my car and drove home. Once I got home I got a text.

Calum - Hey Abby

Abby - Hey

Calum - I love you you know that right

Abby - Yeah I know

Calum - Good just know I'll always be by your side always

Abby - Thanks also I have some news!

Calum - What? Wait is it good news or bad news?

Abby - Good news!

Calum - What is it?

Abby - I finally got my drivers license!

Calum - YES! Now we can travel far away by ourselves

Abby - And finally go to Australia!

Calum - Yeah! I love you to a different galaxy and back!

Abby - Me too!

Calum - Hey can I come over?

Abby - Sure!

Calum - I can bring your favorite movie!

Abby - OK! And we can sit in my room with some popcorn and watch it

Calum - OK! See you there.

I smiled and quickly went and popped some popcorn and put it into a bowl. I told my parents Calum was coming. My parents liked Calum and that was a good thing.

He knocked on the door. "Hi Calum!" I said excitingly. He came in and we watched my favorite movie, Fault in Our Stars. It was so good! I was so happy I almost cried.

During the big kiss I looked at Calum. Apparently he was looking at me too. We smiled at each other and kissed. I had a wonderful time. I didn't want the day to end.

Layla's POV

I was lucky I survived the second day of school. I was so tired. I had seven classes today and they were all an hour long!

I went to my dorm and flopped on my bed. I was so exhausted. I got my cookie from Starbucks out if my bag and ate it while doing my homework. The cookie was huge so it filled me up a little bit. I grabbed a cup of noodle from my closet and poured some boiled water in it.

Once I finished my homework I got into my bed turned on Netflix on my laptop and watched the two new episodes of Criminal Minds. After that I fell asleep.
