Elizabeth and I went to bed, tired from the days ordeals. Or at less she was; i was still exhilarated and filled with adrenaline from the day's events. However, before we has put down our books, the candles on our nightstand blew out and we heard a muffled BOOM.
I ran to the window and looked out. "Pirates," I gasped, "Lizzie, go hide and take off that medallion of yours!" She refused to take off the medallion, but did as i asked and hid.
I threw on my pants and shirt, grabbed my sword, and hightailed it downstairs in order to protect Elizabeth from the pirates. She's no use in a fight. I thought, She can only tell you which fork you need to use to eat your dessert. She can't even hold a sword! Still slightly bitter, I continued fighting until I was overwhelmed. Seven on one is most definitely unfair, I thought to myself. Then I was hit by the falling chandelier and fell to the ground, unconscious.

Whoops! Looks like our dear Lizzy is going to have to fight this fight by herself. Oh, and since Adrie is the governors 'daughter', she can speak Latin, Greek, French, and Spanish.
